On a scale of 1 to 10, how happy are you RN?

A bit, nay a lot, confused, anon :)
I've been pushing it, working hard, exercising hard, not sleeping much (i generally don't in summer due to the daylight). But I've been having some amazing adventures.

These adventures tho have tired me. I had a fantastic trip to liverpool. criminally underrated city, but can't really feel it. And I was upset all day at one of my evil schemes being foiled, but then I got home and found out actually it is going ahead, so I'm delighted, except there's still time for it all to go wrong.
And I'm going here.

So I don't know whether it's good or bad. I'm resting up all evening, hopefully it will be enough.

For me, a lack of interaction is probably worse than nuisance anons. But what behaviours - if any - would provoke you into deleting AskFM?

I'd agree with that, I'm pretty enraged by not getting enough likes :)
It feels pointless making posts that aren't read, I've got some followers on tumblr at last.

And I'd like the same amount of reading & likes here :)

Would you say your parents are overprotective?

The power station in my girlfriend's home town is closing and I'm really sad, all those warriors thrown out of work, just like after all the "reforms" in the 80s.

You see, it's a gorgeous picture but there's no smoke coming out so it's sad, just like there'll never be anyone going underground and getting their hands and faces dirty at Chatterley Whitfield where my granddad worked.

Would you ever want to clone yourself?

i've locked myself out and i have to wait an hour for my mum to let me in

Is Islamophobia really a phobia or hatred towards Muslim? What's the difference?

Only the easy questions :)
I think criticism of Islam is definitely valid, if you read Does God Hate Women by Ophelia Benson it doesn't exactly paint a flattering portrait.
People who view themselves as liberal are reluctant to do this for three reasons.
1. Often it is used to "justify" things likethe illegal war in Iraq.
2. Some peopledo just hate Muslims, want to physically attack them, and extend this to racism against Arabs, even though many Arabs are Christians or atheists (both groups that have suffered terribly in the Middle East dueto far-right neocon foreign "policy"
3. Misguided, for want of a better term, political correctness, feeling that Muslims are always oppressed and somehow can't be oppressors.
I urge such people to think about the ex-Muslims who are denied the right to follow another religion or become atheists, like the wonderful Maryam Namazie.

Isn't it staggering that a WoC who has fled persecution can be persecuted, in the capital of my country, intimidated by a strong and burly man from a gender-segregated society, and "feminists" support the male aggressoragainst theWoC he physically threatens!
Tragically, the Camoron regime is "allied" to Saudi, Qatar and whatever the rest of them arecalled and the western countries are trying to butcher Syria and depose Asda just like they did withSaddam and Gaddafi, what do they imagine is next? Those foul regimes are allowed to persecutetheir slaves and commit war crimes in Yemen, but Assad is worse than them? Given Dave's shameless cringing to foreign tyrants if it enricheshis mates.
So some peopledo just hateMuslims and support illegal wars against majorityMuslimcou tries despite the obvious consequences, but we are still entitled to be critical of the system of Islam and I think ppl should.

Does your name have a meaning? What is it?

Andrew was the first person that followed Jesus, I like that, though I'm not strong and manly like the name suggests :)
And I hope not to be crucified on an x-shaped cross!

What was the last thing that made you laugh?

It didn't make me laugh as such but The Card by Arnold Bennett, written by a local author who is legendary in these parts and criminally underrated elsewhere.
http://www.thepotteries.org/bennett/book_card.html
Denry Machin, a lovable rogue and all-round "card", comes up with all kinds of wild schemes that always come off, despite the lack of anything conventional middle-class people would call merit or achievement, and you can't help rooting for him in his struggle against the lowchurchandhightea society that oppressed our great-grandparents in this city.
"What a card!" said one, laughing joyously. "He's a rare 'un, no mistake."
"Of course, this'll make him more popular than ever," said another. "We've never had a man to touch him for that."
"And yet," demanded Councillor Barlow, "what's he done? Has he ever done a day's work in his life? What great cause is he identified with?"
"He's identified," said the speaker, "with the great cause of cheering us all up."

How is your trip going so far?

It's good, not as good as it might have been because my friends' dogs are recovering from an illness, so we are limited in what we can do and I have to do some things on my own. Look in a couple of days on
http://dry-valleys.tumblr.com/tagged/photos
And when I've uploaded the pictures you will know ;) or just look at the archive, any excuse to show off. I enclose a picture of where I am, I didn't take this one but i will post my own when I get back.
I just read this seasonally appropriate poem btw, I hope you and my other friends and anyone like it.

Do you think emotional dependency in romantic relationships is inevitable? Why?

As usual I will quote abook :)
In One Night in Winter, by Simon Monefiore, two people who had always been faithful to their spouses have a love affair. They are both senior people married to other senior people, and it's seriously dangerous to do such un-bolshevik things in Russia in 1945. Hercules Satinov loves his wild sex sessions with Dashka Dorova, but wishes he could have more than just sex and envies her husband.
"He hated Genrikh because true possession is to share the fabric of someone else’s life, he decided; it’s about proximity; love as geography. He longed to know the soft sound of her sleeping and the sleepy smell of her hair in the morning; he wanted to be standing next to her when she brushed her teeth and at the foot of the stairs when she descended them. When she sat down to read, where did she sit?"
And that's why, like millions of others, i am monogamous even if my girlfriend isn't always that interested, I couldn't just have sex with someone I don't know, it requires a emotional connection.
