If all jobs had the same pay and hours, what job would you like to have?

I still feel like I'd be in the emergency services or some other uniformed service, to be honest.
It doesn't particularly matter to me. I could end up in the military, in federal law enforcement, local/county/state law enforcement, fire-rescue, EMS etc.
I enjoy helping and serving others this way.

On ASKfm, what does a “like” mean to you? What does a “follow” mean to you? How so?

On the grand scheme of things, they don't mean a whole lot.
While it is kind of an off-handed goal to get verified (requires 1000 followers), I am by no means interested in artificially attempting to raise my follower count or the number of likes.
I am resolved to grow my base naturally and by its own merits.
To me, a like generally stands for agreement, appreciation, or interest in what I have to say.
A follow represents a continued interest in my page and the goings on here.

Philosophies and codes of behavior- PART 2.

I'm confused. What's the part 2? Was there meant to be something more?

What would your life be like without a phone? Would it be better or worse? How long can you go without using your phone?

iandfairytales’s Profile PhotoArika
Life would be shit without my phone.
My phone has all my music, and my music keeps me calm. It also allows me to talk to my friends who are far away from me.
I can go without my phone for a few hours, at most. Beyond that, I get pretty jittery.
Also, my phone lets me take photos and videos of things when I don't have my DLSR with me.

What job would you be terrible at?

Anything heavy in mathematics, I suppose.
It isn't that I'm not able to do it, but I strongly dislike numbers for numbers' sake. I don't like unnecessary computations. They make my head hurt.

Hi, sorry for bother, but does “Barely"means “Not Really" ? Thanks i appreciate for your clarification. :)

No bother at all, anon.
You are close, but "Barely" means "a small amount".
Example: I have barely any concern for bullies.
Meaning: I have only a small amount of concern for bullies.

What is your evacuation area in an emergency/catastrophe? I recently confirmed mine based on a Q you sent last month.

Neo_gs’s Profile PhotoNeo
Out in the parking lot of the apartment complex, for certain emergencies. There are also evacuation/emergency routes in the area that would be cleared in the event of a catastrophe occurring, but odds are if something went down, I would likely be a part of the rescue and recovery operations, since I am a first responder on the Integrated Command Structure list for my state and county.

Tonight we are going to watch Lord of the rings - one of my favourites. So can you tell me about one of your favourite movies, without saying the movie title?

youcuntx’s Profile PhotoJ.
Is this like "describe a movie plot badly"? :P
A pilot crosses a line.

Do you think the way society views things as normal, has had an impact on how you've lived your life? For example have you had kids because that's what society says you should do? Do you work a 9-5 job etc? - what are some things in your life or you've done that are not the 'norm'?

youcuntx’s Profile PhotoJ.
Societal norms can shove it, honestly.
I'm unlikely to have kids, regardless of what society/others may say.
I do NOT work a 9-5.
I mean, I'm single in a society that praises relationships and hookups. I hate the whole FWB concept and will never participate in that shit.
I have taken meds for mental illness before, despite society making it out to be something bad.
I just...I don't agree with a lot of what society thinks is "okay".

Sorry if this offends anyone. Due to a 'discussion' on a FB group, do you think that a man* m^sterb^ting whilst in a relationship is disrespectful? explain. What about if a woman m^sferb^tes whilst in a relationship?

youcuntx’s Profile PhotoJ.
I don't see it as "disrespectful" off the bat. I think the context is important here. If your partner is around, and you'd rather get off without them, yeah, that's disrespectful and concerning.
However, if they're not around/not available, who cares? It's not cheating, and may even be in place of cheating.
In fact, some couples may enjoy this activity mutually or use it as a way to strengthen their relationship with one another.
Again, context is key here and no broad judgments can be made in this kind of a situation.

Does a man/woman advance their character through contemplating their hardships, or are the hardships not necessary for that? Elaborate please :)

SeagullyToon’s Profile PhotoSeagull
While self-introspection is a valuable trait and can greatly enhance one's mental/spiritual/emotional progress, it isn't always necessary for growth to occur. You can grow without actively considering it or your past experiences, but it may not be as effective.

Is the soul just a concept for you that you read about or heard about from outside sources? Like, would you still think you had a soul if there was no concept for one?

If there is no "concept" for one, I'm not sure I'd call it "a soul".
I may still believe in something existing other than our body/mind, but if that concept doesn't exist, then I am sure we'd come up with something in its place.

How big of an obstacle ego is, to happiness, in your opinion?

SeagullyToon’s Profile PhotoSeagull
A huge obstacle, honestly.
If you can't "get over yourself" you won't get over the other obstacles in your life because you refuse to take an accurate account of your place on the track, so to speak.
In other words, if you are in a foot race, and you're trying to determine how far the finish line is and how fast you need to go to win, you are assuming you're further ahead than you really are, and won't be running as fast or as hard you might need to. This can lead to a loss in a situation where a win was, in fact, possible.
Overestimating our own ability and skill-level is dangerous and can be fatal.

What’s your biggest screw up in the kitchen?

Well...I once forgot the sugar in my frozen lemonade.
I broke the plastic drum of the blender and shorted it out when the warm liquid I poured in cracked the chilled drum and dripped into the motor...
I had a pizza slide off the tray in the oven and land top down on the base of the oven >.>
Forgot soda cans in a freezer and the subsequently exploded.
Spilled pickle juice in the fridge when the cap was not sealed tightly enough and fell...
Was shaking a bottle of salsa and didn't notice the lid wasn't on right and salsa went everywhere.
I've cut myself while cooking. Burned myself on hot pots/pans/trays.
I have forgotten things in the microwave/oven when I hadn't turned it on and just kind of waited for the timer to go off, only to find my food still cold >.>

'One door closes and another door opens.' What door/s have closed and opened for you?

crickex’s Profile PhotoWolf Time
I have lost a lot of friends, my past, and educational opportunities, as well as having lost a close relationship with my family members.
Doors that opened for me include the opportunity to apply to one of the best Fire-Rescue Services in the nation, make good friends with other uniformed servicemembers, who are kinda like a weird big family, and become closer to the few friends I do have.
I've also learned to embrace myself and my nature rather than fighting it, so I would say I am a lot more authentic to who I am than I used to be.

Would you rather: The sun appearing as if it is about to explode, and you don't and can't have the knowledge if it will (it being in that state won't affect life on earth), or being aggressively chased by any and every dog that sees you (and maybe bitten)?

SeagullyToon’s Profile PhotoSeagull
The sun, I guess.
The dog thing would be an issue with my job/work/profession.

I hope you're doing well. What have you been up to recently?

I am doing alright.
I watched a movie premiere the other night which was night.
I have plans to get my hair cut today, as well as get a medical appointment out of the way.
I came up for a great new scene and storyline for book three of my series about Erin Wolf.
It turns out I lost about 5-6 years of manuscripts when I accidentally erased my one-drive folder of documents >.>
I am managing my mental stability a little better these days, or trying to anyway.
I need to work out more/regularly.
Eating healthier, so that's good.
Taking a little better care of my residence.
Tentatively hopeful for the future?
