I mean, touching anyone, not just girls, without consent isn’t okay. Especially any sexual touch, as that’s harassment/assault. So someone being angry about that type of thing shouldn’t exactly be surprising. It’s a violation of personal boundaries.
Also, there are plenty of ways to let people know your intentions without physically touching them… The easiest being, just tell them. And if they don’t want it, respect it and move on.

There are ways you just have to figure it out. That's a good way to land yourself in jail lots of visual cues as opposed to physical actions. Rule of thumb I always lived by unless given permission ask permission point blank period and in conversation about either sex group which could be considered harassment keep opinions to self and limit contact with ones who think that behavior is publicly acceptable.
