Well in Arizona they will excuse if you miss the first one but they will send you a second notice if you don't respond you can be in contempt of court you can be charged $500 and have to go to a hearing and explain why you missed jury duty

Bench warrent I believe

If you do not respond to the summons, do not appear in court, or deliberately create excuses to avoid being selected for jury duty, the courts reserve the right to charge you with contempt of court. As such, you can face a fine between $100 and $1,000.

Failure to respond to a jury summons can lead to being held in contempt of court, which may result in fines, a bench warrant being issued for your arrest or even prison time 👀

You could go to jail or be fined you need to respond to that
