What gift will you never forget?

The scars on my heart and soul.
To each person that carved their name into my heart, I remember the lessons you taught me as I struggled to pull the pieces of my life back together.
My scars prove that while you may have cut me deep, you can never take what was never yours.
My strength and soul are mine and mine alone.
You can bring me down but you can't keep me there. I will find my way back up and I will win.
Every time.
The harder you push, the fiercer I fight.
I may bend but I will never break.
I thought you were love but you were only a lesson.
I gave you my trust and you gave me a traitor.
I learned from each of you of what I never want.
Thanks for showing me how not to live and whom I should not love.
You are the gift you never gave, the love you never felt, and kindness you never had.

Do you prefer a bath or shower?

Shower. The hot water pouring down feels like rain in a way and relaxes my muscles. I think a lot in the shower. And sometimes I think of nothing at all and just let the water roll over me.
If I remember correctly, people use hot showers to emulate feeling of closeness with others, ie: a hug or embrace.
In other words, hot showers are like long hugs for the lonely and sad xD

So I go to sleep, here in Europe is already pretty late around the 3:40 AM, so wish you a good afternoon or evening depending on which state you live. :)

Gnight anon.

What do you think the worse case scenario would be when dating a paramedic? Would it even be worth it?

Besides the risk of death, dismemberment, and injury on the job? Well, there's the risk of exposure to infectious diseases and other HazMat situations. EMS has one of the highest rates of PTSD, suicide, and divorce outside of being a member of the military...
EMS also has a high burnout rate and most people only last a couple years in the field.
We have rotating shift work and often work holidays. Even in our off time we usually end up doing some kind of training or recertification to keep our credentials current.
As for whether or not it's worth dating a first responder, and specifically a medic...I am a bit biased.
I'd say yes, and here's my reasoning.
Look at who we are. We risk our lives to protect strangers on a regular basis. Those are strangers, mind you. Now imagine how far we'd go to protect our family and loved ones.
Many of us are professional emergency vehicle operators as well as first responders.
You'd literally have a highly trained professional rescuer living with you who can make life saving decisions in seconds.
We care. It might seem like we get salty sometimes...but we love people. We love caring for others.
We treasure and cherish our loved ones a little more because we understand how thin that line between life and death is and that what we have today may not be there tomorrow.
We will always have your back. We may look like we're not alert, but trust me, we almost always are monitor what's going on around us. You, any kids, family, friends etc are pretty damn safe when there's a first responder hanging around.
We can't fix everything...but we can fix a hell of a lot, and not just trauma/medical stuff. The number of times we've had to jerry rig something on the fly while racing down the road or pulling back into the station would probably surprise you. We are masterful MacGyvers when it comes to getting shit to work.
We understand. We've seen a lot and we can empathize with what others go through.
I can elaborate more, if need be

That's great! XD Yeah unfortunately there's peoples who can't actually take care of themselves and need support, but messy rooms or house are kinda icky, no jokes this remind me of something else what elders always said me, keep clean your house you don't know when paramedics going to your house,

Yup, absolutely right

Aww that so nice, at least for break the stress the situation can create, well hope you didn't forget the door of your car open ahaha. Instead the most unusual thing who you saw in your work which is been?

Thankfully I didn't forget the door XD
Most unusual thing I've seen...hmm..
I guess something unusual to me was just how squalid and dirty some people's living quarters are.
Now obviously some people are unable to care for themselves etc and ought to be looked after by their family, a health aide/care worker, or moved to an assisted living facility, but the others...they don't have a lot of excuses for the excessive mess.

How you get to know your own soul, I meant this one.

That's not an easily answered question.
It takes a lot of soul searching, so to speak.
You really have to be open to new ideas, experiences, and perspectives in order to find what fits you best.
You must be willing to confront and deal with the truths you uncover about yourself though as you discover them.
If you avoid facing your own fears and weaknesses, you can't be attuned to your soul.

Yeah I acknowledge it, I suspect too it's due some of my past traumas. But instead of talk about me, what about you, which is been the most funny moment do you had at work? -who still make you laugh out loud-

Funniest? Hmm..probably when I pulled up to the fire station and was getting my stuff out of my car when my Officer yelled my name and says we've got a call...
I threw all my stuff back into the car and was about to start running to the ambulance when he burst out laughing and said he was joking.
It was great. That night was so nice too. The weather was perfect. I think we sat outside for a while before going to dinner.
We got our first call as we were finishing our food at the restaurant for an "unknown rescue".

What was the very first job you had?

My first paid job was as an Event Contractor for a state science museum.

How can you get to know your soul?

How does someone get to know their own soul or how does someone get to know my soul?
Which do you mean?

You definitely did your duty as human being and we need more peoples like you in this world, so really again thank you. For what you told me, it's really mean a lot and it's made me drop (in a good way) some tears, your words made my day, thanks. :)

Thank you. I hope the rest of the day goes well for you, anon ^.^

Hey Erin, wish you the best and stay strong, I'm so glad to know what you had the strength to overcome such dark moment. So today you became a life example and through your work you're a light in peoples life, thank you. Thanks for your answer about mental health.

Thank you so much, anon.
I definitely needed this today.
It's messages like yours that remind me why I do what I do a and why I plan to keep doing what I do.
You, anon, are the reason I am who I am today. I exist and train for this purpose of serving and teaching others, despite being no better than anyone else.
If my life and my example can spare others the pain and hardships I have seen/experienced, then I have done part of my duty as a human on this planet.

What are some simple things in life that make you happy?

horcruxes_and_hallows_spam’s Profile Photohallows; spam
I am really happy about having such wonderful and supportive instructors and supervisors.
Well life may be tough in my field, having a supervisor who looks out for you and really respects their people is so nice.
Shout out to all teachers and all supervisors who actually give a shit about their people.
Y'all make life a little better.

What is it about a stranger that tends to draw you in the most? Tell me about some of your favorite physical and non-physical traits/characteristics in other people? Do you have any of those traits yourself?

AmericanLass’s Profile PhotoC.
Their wit/humor and their intelligence draw me in.
Someone who can consistently make me chuckle and laugh gets points, but bonus points for witty/sarcastic remarks on the fly.
The ability to battle back and forth with little more than sarcastic quips is very telling about a person. You have to intelligent, quick thinking, and be aware of nuanced terms and unique perspectives to to warp ordinary phrases and situations into something a little more twisted to get your sarcastic reply.
As for physical traits, hair, eyes, and body language.
I like certain hair styles and god I could get lost forever in a pair of beautiful eyes.
Body language is important. Do you carry yourself with ease and confidence? Do you present yourself shyly? Do you stand in the middle of crowds as the center of attention? Are you always acting "basic"?
Hot tip. Big turn off for me is a basic cookie cutter personality.
I see this "boobs and beer" persona too often on dating profiles.
There is almost always an obligatory photo of the female in a bikini or something and always a photo of her holding drinks. These are the same people with little to nothing of their bio/profile filled out minus perhaps a link to social media.
I honestly hate that. Are guys so cheap that all it takes now is breasts and alcohol and we fall in love? No description needed?
No way. I almost always skip those people entirely.
If you rely on your physical looks without anything in your bio, that says a lot about how you see both yourself and the state of dating.
I also watch the way a woman laughs when she isn't holding it back.
And nice shoulders are a plus.
Relative fitness is good too.
Looks may catch my eye, but content keeps my heart.

Why don't you like Bear Grylls?

AmericanLass’s Profile PhotoC.
His survival advice, show, and branded gear is all crap.
His show was more of a shock and awe than realistic and genuine survival.
In fact, many times they were "surviving" next to populated areas and highways, if I remember correctly.
Also, killing and eating venomous snakes is generally a bad idea. As is drinking your own piss...all the time.
He just isn't practical

His show was there for the ratings, and you get good ratings with outrageous content.
Also I own a Bear Grylls pocket knife. It was a piece of junk..the pocket clip bent. The handle wasn't ergonomic, and the whole design was poorly thought out as it posed a safety risk.
Oh, and the locking mechanism failed a few times.
So in other words it's probably nice to look at but ultimately pretty useless in a real survival situation.

If you were stuck on an island and only could have one person with you, who would you choose? Why?

Les Stroud, for obvious reasons xD
He is the Survivorman, and someone I actually respect for his genuine survival guidance and tips compared to people like Bear Grylls or Naked & Afraid etc.

Stealthing is considered "rape-adjacent." Would the same apply to a woman lying about taking birth control pills? https://www.yahoo.com/beauty/stealthing-inside-world-men-remove-100700967.html

Neo_gs’s Profile PhotoScooch
TW: Rape
I've never actually heard of this before. Also, I'm not sure how this is akin to rape.
I mean, see what they're trying to get at
..but being raped is a little different than a guy taking off a condom.
One is forcing yourself on an unwilling partner whereas the other occurs during consensual sex.
Do I think it is wrong? Yeah. That's a dick move, literally.
Should it be compared to rape? Hell no.
That is horribly insulting to anyone who has ever been sexually assaulted/raped and to try to make the two somehow equivalent is ridiculous.
Also, it is kinda the woman's body, so she has the ultimate authority on whether or not she takes the pill or not...
If she lies about being on the pill to try to get pregnant, that's also a shitty move and totally wrong.
But it isn't rape.
It is consensual sex.
The consent regarding contraception is a different matter. Consenting to using a condom.vs consenting to sex are two different things and should not be likened.
Yes. Rape is bad. Yes secretly removing a condom or lying about birth control is also bad.
But they're not the same things.
