Laminitus is caused if the horse eats too much rich food too quickly. Some horses/ ponies are more prone to it then others. It makes their feet sore and it is one of those things that is a good ideo to check. You can do this by feeling if their hooves are hot or pink :) x

Grass reins are to prevent the horse from putting their head down and eating - mainly used on ponies.

A martingale is used to prevent the horse from lifting his/her head. I have to use it on Leo because otherwise he would just eat all the trees above him ;) x

Ros
lol! that sounds like a pony from my yard! lol! She will eat anything!

Ye same and tackles riding and jumping :) just general trick training and 'bonding' time too ;)

Ooohh YEAH!! THats sounds FUN! I'm trying to start teaching my horsey tackless lets say neck reining and leadrope from side to side are two different things lol! My horse is like umm backup and stop okay but turning ummm mom what do i do! lol! How do you try a lead rope to do tackless riding?? is there a specific way? (mine aways comes undone...lol!)

Are u following me?? Cuz I can post a pic of what it does . It doesn't let me check or uncheck anything

yes im following you. post a pic and i can see if i know what to do. :)

Yah like basically if I'm asking you a question (or anyone else) it makes me ask the question non anon. I've heard other people are having this problem

weird cause I know I have the setting where you can choose to my anon or non anon :) try unchecking the box that says ask anon and see if that works?

I'm having a problem where no matter who I'm asking the question to, it makes me ask it non anon.

otherwise if this does not solve it -- i think that person might have their setting at non anon so that they can see who's asking the question ;)

Is there a particular reason why u like the IDE of tackles riding

ummm i saw equiially, angel pheby, gezzcanezz, neddiesgun, etc... do it and i want to try it and i like the idea of the horse being free for a bit from having the bit in his mouth! lol! :)

Do u know how to fix the problem where it only lets me answer questions non anonymously

ummm in your settings (upper right hand of your screen by friends, profile, search) you can pick either non anon or anon :) Is this what you meant?

Do u jump

once in a while at a summer camp a few years a ago (never had lessons though) and sometimes doing cantering for ground poles ("lame jump") lol! I want to do more jumping through its fun! :)
