Would you think that being employed by these two companies would help establishing a more stable relationship (wage, etc) between you and these companies? If so, why don't they actually employ content creators? Coz they would have to consider regulations? Coz they wouldnt be able to srew you over?

Without getting too far into it I'd say it's rather impractical since the idea is for both YouTube and Twitch to be rather open to people. There's also no real impetus for them to be any more tied to the people who use the platforms, I'm sure YouTube rather likes the position of power they hold and not needing any permission from users to make broad and sweeping changes when they like.

Would you rather live in Japan, only knowing English, or live in the US, only knowing Japanese?

Doesn't a large chunk of the Japanese population know english as well as Japanese? I might be mistaken but that would probably make the decision a bit easier if so. I hope I get to visit there some day... such amazing art and culture!

If you were to move to Europe, which country would you make your new home?

I really have no idea. If I made a move that big I'd probably want to make sure I had a support system of some kind waiting for me over there or I wouldn't make it very long so that would probably factor in... also, I'd have to have good internet.

I like to think I speak English very well. I took a bunch of years of German in high school but mostly have forgotten it now (since that was 10 years ago now). I also took a semester of Russian in college but I didn't actually retain much sadly.

A quiet place to live with someone I care about and a cat or two. Not worrying about money and being able to save for the future - and to maybe go see a cool thing or two in my life as well as spend time with close friends.

About how many video's did it take for you to gain youtube popularity?

It's a kind of vague question unfortunately. I'm not sure what "gaining popularity" really constitutes. If you want to see some of my stats over time you can enter my youtube channel name in on SocialBlade.

Why on earth have you not done a Super Metroid LP yet?

I streamed a 100% playthrough on Twitch but I can't really upload Super Metroid stuff to YouTube since Nintendo has been rampantly claiming videos of all sorts.

If you could only play 1 video game for the rest of your life what game would it be?

It's probably not the most fair question considering no game really tries to be something you could play forever while being diverse enough that it would be reasonable to ask someone to... even rouge-like games are random to a point and you might get sick of the premise.
I've played Super Metroid about once a year for the last I don't know how long... Super Meat Boy would also be a contender, and then there's always games like Diablo 2, Starbound or Terraria, but I know those can even get old eventually. It could even be something just massively huge like Skyrim... I think I'd probably just go with Super Meat Boy.

Hi Nick! I remember you being on a couple of Dota streams with Ryan, Alpaca, and co. and you seemed to enjoy it as you were learning. Do you still enjoy Dota? Do you ever think you'll play again?

I've mostly cooled off to DOTA 2 for the time being. I'm sure Rob / AlpacaPatrol could get me back into it but I really just don't have time to play the often hour long matches unfortunately.

What sort of mic/headset do you use? Also, do you use any noise gating for your recording? (like to get rid of some breathing or background noises)

I use a Plantronics GamesCom 380 for now, but in the next few months if things continue going well I may move up to a desk mounted condenser mic... my ears hurt sometimes from having the headset on for so long every day.
I don't use noise gating or noise reduction right now in general, no, but I have had to on occasion in the past.

Is there use of indie devs contacting you with their games, or are you only showing off things you find yourself alone?

For sure devs should feel free to contact me, I just get tons of email so it's hard for me to make any promises as to what I'll cover. I do have a look at pretty much everything that comes by me though.

Is being a Youtuber an official job? Are you employed by Youtube? If so, what is the title of the job?

I do YouTube / Twitch full time yes, but I'm not employed by either of them.

Not really. It was mostly just a group of people exclusively pimping their YouTube channels in a never-ending chain.

What's your favorite ice-cream flavor?

I enjoy both coffee and mint chocolate-chip quite a bit but I also like some weird flavors at times like banana split or pumpkin pie.

Is there any way we can hang out in real life?

Zero offense meant but I'm very hesitant to make any blanket declarations about this. I think there are / will definitely be a few individual people I want to hang out with that I've met through doing YouTube and I will communicate privately where necessary, but I also would prefer to keep a little bit of privacy for myself too. I'm kind of a shy person in general and I have anxiety issues so the through of having a group of people gathered around me is a bit off-putting to say the least. Doesn't mean it could never happen, but I'm not likely to just have a random meet-up. If you find me at an event though (I should hopefully be at PAX East 2014) no reason I'm not approachable there!

After seeing the answers to all my intelligent questions the only thing left to say is keep up the good work(if youtube allows it :-( ) and what kind of movies do you like?

I like a weird grouping of movies... action, comedy, drama, documentary and more are all fair game. Some of my favorites are Pulp Fiction, Terminator 2, the Harry Potter series, Four Rooms, Taken and probably hundreds more.

When was the last time you had a hug?

I guess one of my goals is to stop only getting them in the worst of times but eventually get/give them in happier times too.
