What makes one strong, gains or losses?

I'd say it's a mix of both.
Too many losses can break one's character to the point that one will lose all faith in the world. Too much gain will make one feel invincible & untouchable, their arrogance increase and they lose all touch to earth. Which would make them toxic as heck. So, staying down to earth is what seems to be the best option.

How do you control your emotions during negativity?

I try to overcome it by myself. And stop communicating - or I'll hurt people. If I don't do that I definitely have my trouble to control my negative emotions. There are just a few people who can deal with my flaws and I highly appreciate them in my life.

I'm quite spontaneous and go with the flow. If I don't feel loved I just fly away and find a place for me to be myself. You can love me, you can hate me. I don't mind. One could say both.
To the one ignoring problems, it may feel like bliss while they ignoring the problems around them. And while they do so, they burden heavy feelings on those who care about them. Which leads to the conclusion that they give a f*ck about those who care. Which is arrogance. And that's somewhat a sin - I might think - but I'm not quite sure about it.
