Why do people have so many expectations towards others?

➀ – because we trust them. We don't have expectations on people we don't trust in. Even in business, we have to rely on people, that they will do their jobs.
We trust. So we expect.
➁ – because we want to believe in them.
➂ – because we suggest what we can do by ourselves, others easily can do as well. So it becomes an expectation, even when it's not a fact that anyone can do, what we are able to. We easily forget the process of learning is always on step at a time. And what is the moral of the story?
Comparison is B.sh*t =)
Everyone has expectations of how someone is. Even when they are nothing like that. Because we meet people at certain points in our lives and that's not always the beginning. Their reaction, action, the way they speak to us or with others, the way they dress, the way they walk, the way they link with others...this is all a puzzle piece of our image of someone's identity. If someone acts out of our expectations we might think they are acting dangerously. We search for logic, so people are easily afraid when...someone is drunk...or have an unpredictable mental illness. we expect because we search for certain safety in the interaction with someone. Can I trust a person? We don't know. We have to see how they behave daily and after we gained information we build up an image of their behavior. And if we gained enough experience about someone we build up expectations on how they behave probably on the next day or week. Or whatever. In my opinion, we build them for safety reasons.

Of course, I would. It's expensive learning how to play an instrument. I would either choose the piano or the violin.

Stressful. I have to write two exams this week both in subjects where I am not very good at. Then the next week I have to write a pre-exam for my A-Level. Hopefully, I will succeed at all of them. Kinda. X'D

I feel good when I am being creative or after I sang something. But I would not describe that feeling as being proud. I am just enjoying my skills to a certain level. It does make me feel calm or it's supporting my mental wellbeing.
I'm not much of a proud person. Doesn't mean I never felt it...just...really seldom.

I had to laugh at this so much when I get to read it. x'D
It reminded me of a friend whom I opened up about my trust issues and her reaction about it was kind of the same. "Just...don't have trust issues and don't doubt the intentions of the people around you..." (who've several times showed me through their actions that they wear a don't-care-attitude)
And I felt exactly like this. Well then...my trust issues are gone now. x'D Just because she said so...

Most of my writings here are in german...so when you don't care about it I can still share some links to them.
But prepare, if you want to read it....it's massive text. One post can be 6-8 pages. I wrote RPGs back then in the form of a novel.

It's hard to accept once you realize it. Even harder when you hurt someone and they won't give you any sign of reconciliation when you are really sorry about what you've said or better what you left unsaid. But sometimes even when they can forgive you, you are not ready to forgive yourself. So yes for me it's hard sometimes. Especially for how naive I was at the age of 16. But yeah I cannot change it and I have to move on and try to be as happy as I can be, that's what I owe myself.
