When you want to escape from everyone, where do you go?
I don't even close my bathroom door to bathe or whiz. Nor do I find solace anywhere other than my sanctuary at home, first. I simply withdraw when I want w̶a̶n̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶e̶s̶c̶a̶p̶e̶ peace and no stimulation 🙏🏽

Yes! I've always even LOVED the SOUND of the WORD "ginger bread." It has a taste to my senses!😋 Unfortunately, I haven't had a slice of warm, wholesome, soft gingerbread in years, but those rough ass, hard ginger snap cookies have gotten me through.

Story of my life.
I remedied that by putting myself into private practice to work my own dilemmas out—and, unfortunately, limiting my availability and accessibility to a select few, for a limited amount of time.
💡Here's what I learned are the benefits:
✔️You get shit done while focusing on quality time and attention given to the QUALITY of persons in your life vs. QUANTITY
✔️You have a more peaceful life
✔️You have a more peaceful private life
✔️You feel better every day you wake knowing your woes and wins, alike, are all your own business
✔️You kept your business to yourself without worry that any (present-tense) thing about you or what you discussed and trusted someone else with is their topic of the next day's discussion
✔️It's actually fun and a good character trait to self-problem solve anyways
This is key🔑 :
💎Unlearn and re-question a lot of the things we've auto-accepted as interpersonal "necessities."
It's not just that times have changed, but as we have so much access to each other's and others' lives; ❤️hearts have changed too. And (most likely than not) that "someone you need" is really not that same someone you loved, needed or used to be—despite the fact that you and your heart are [the same].
💎It doesn't have to suck any more when you're sipping on your own tea❣️

Most jobs are riddled with toxicity-no matter your method of escape or coping
The only thing "perfect" about a job are:
▪︎ the cool people and friends you meet along the way
▪︎the perks that benefit you and serve your bigger picture for your now or greater later
▪︎ the experience you pick up for (hopefully) future endeavors
While I have met only a handful of people that love their jobs and coworkers, aside from that anamoly, NO "job" that's riddled with
▪︎sick mentalities
▪︎weird, incessant, petty gossip running amok
▪︎bored, vicious, miserable, mean-spirited people [with no-life/hobbies/interests outside of said job]
... is a "perfect job"
I don't believe any "job" out there is absent of any of those things. Even the ones where you have more to lose are riddled with it. It's just dressed up a little better.
For creatives and people with other ways to serve the world, today's workplaces are stifling and EXTREMELY toxic to your flow and headspace.
Until you are doing what you WANT to do, you have to walk in and then out with this a B̶u̶d̶d̶h̶i̶s̶t̶ "You-dhist" chant in your head:
✨️"My moves are "in," "through" and "out."
Not "around" and "up." My karma is to lend my time and give my best.
In the interim, I will not permit the spritedless, miserable and mean-spirits of this place rob me of, or take mine. I have things to do. People to see. And places to go. And this place and these people will not interrupt that.

All that said, hand me the lottery ticket with the annoying off-rip tax pimping coming my way while I take my cut and be okay with it via what my mom always told me: "you can 'miss' what you never had."
