Hi all, My LDR SO said they think they are fat. When i last saw them in person, they were not. What worrys me is They said, "There is nothing to do but accept and continue being fat" in the conversation that followed. this mindset is worrying to me, obesity is no joke. What can I do to help them?
It's definitely not a joke, just be there for them and support them. They aren't overweight? It could be they are telling themselves they are so they don't eat, anorexia is a thing, My brain used to be like that and that's what caused me to be almost severely underweight. I had to go to a dietitian cause I wasn't eating or wasn't at my "goal weight" which was making my hands touch when I put them around my waist, I still get like that from time to time thinking I shouldn't eat anything cause I can't touch my hands around my stomach anymore and it definitely isn't a healthy thought to have. Anyway just try and get them to eat even if it's just one meal a day and a snack or something

How can I leave him alone when I know his hurting so bad? Why wouldn’t he let me be there for him?
Maybe he has trouble letting people in or doesn't want to bother people with whatever it is he might be feeling/ wants to deal with it alone, just be there for him whenever/if he feels like opening up, if not that's okay, send pictures or videos maybe that might cheer him up. You don't always need words to be there for someone
