What do people get from lying? 'cause I do not understand his advantage really!

Some people lie for the sake of lying. So they feel a little powerful cause they are the only ones who know the truth. Other lies are told because the truth can hurt pretty much, so they rather want to protect themselves or even other people, who aren't that mentally stable, in the liar's opinion - so it's a lie told to protect, called "white lie", but still is nothing but a lie. People lie. Every one of us. The reasons are various. If people are ashamed of themselves, they lie. Out of greed to protect something that isn't even theirs, they lie. And if they don't want to face their own mistakes - guess what? They lie.
