Yes, of course you should meet up with her, otherwise you're wrong to call her your friend. I know it's difficult to be around someone with autism, especially if you don't have much experience but I imagine this girl needs your support. Imagine how much your confidence would be knocked if someone didn't want to be around you because of a condition you have. I'm not going to pretend I know everything about autism, but my niece has aspergers and she's honestly the most amazing person I know. She is so smart and creative, she's passionate and knows exactly what she wants to do in life. Try to focus on the more positive things about your friend rather than the negatives, try learning as much as you can about autism, and if you still have no interest in spending time with her then I'm afraid she's better off without you.

I've had two people tell me I've saved them from depression, that I'd saved their lives. I know it's an exaggerated statement but knowing that you've helped someone like that is so rewarding.

I literally know nothing of Harry Potter. Our teacher in Year 4 would read one of the books to us before hometime and I used to dread it every day because I'd be bored out of my skull. Then a few years later I fell asleep within ten minutes of Chamber of Secrets, so I've kinda been put off from an early age. On another note, I probably have less friends now. 😂

Hahaha, I love these adverts. When some lady slips and breaks her legs because there was no wet floor sign, and the guy who falls cause he's given the wrong ladder. Then they have to master the "why has my workplace betrayed me like this, I am in so much pain" look. Outstanding acting.

I think if I hadn't met her, I would have a lot less confidence in myself. I always say there's so many people I want to get to know better and become good friends with, but in reality, it never happens. I rarely go out or to events when people have been kind enough to invite me, because I struggle so much socially. I honestly never saw it happening and it was a slow process, but things just worked out with Becca. The first time she asked me to go for food, just me and her, honestly I was so scared. I thought I would completely bore her, have nothing interesting to say and leave her wishing she'd never even thought of the idea. But the fact that I went along speaks volumes about her character, she made a small part of me believe that everything might actually go okay. I think even though we don't have tons in common, we connect on an emotional level and that's so rare to find.
