no, I mean we use the veradus boots which apply pressure but not really extreme as pinching.

well it depends on the bit your using. try small circles, walk 5 steps, trot 6, and then switch it once that's calming to him to trot and canter. poles before and after the jump. trot about 4 strides away from the jump until he expects it and then canter. half after the jump
