Does your trainer decides if you are jumping or just flatting ? Or do you choose depending on how your horses are in that day ?
we decide together early in the week when we're not showing it usually friday sunday
Can you start posting more flat videos ? I would love to see how you work your horses !!!
i barely get jumping videos but ill try
Haha I mean besides to pick up the canter, I mean like without keeping your leg on and giving constant information to the horse with leg , all of those things
well if you don't move up in certain places that you should you're going to crash or have a really scary distance if your horse even goes over it. your horse isn't a robot and it needs instructions
Do you work on counter canter, counter bending, leg yielding, turn on the haunches/forehand, ect.
yes i always do counter canter. and shortening and lengthening and big and small circles and whatever i think they need to work on not everything every day
Does your trainer has a barn ? Or do you guys just have lessons at random barns ?
we board at one of the other clients barns so we're all kinda together
What would happen if someone tried to ride in a Grand Prix with out using any leg
this doesn't make much sense cause you wouldn't move haha
What do you work on in the flat
getting my horses quiet and working on their weaknesses
What do u believe makes a good rider
having a good connection with the horse and lots of hours spent in the saddle with good training
in your trainers team
you mean our barn? we don't have a team haha. he trains about 13 people
How many students and horses does it has in your team
in my team?
Sometimes I only see one distance to a jump and it’s not the best decision for that particular jump. I get really scared that I’m going to crash my horse into something one day. I do the low jrs so it’s not like it’s baby fences.. any thoughts?
practice getting different distances, shorter, normal and big ones. and try to be able to adjust it
Have u ever fallen at a show? Explain the situation
yes all the time! and you just make sure the horse is fine and catch them ASAP and then walk out and if both of you are ok get back on and jump a few more jumps and then be done
If you go to college what are your reach, middle (or whatever it’s called), and safety schools??
i want to go to scad
What is the meanest thing one of your trainers has already said to you about riding
i don't remember they're not that mean that often except when they're kidding
How do you feel about fishing? 🎣
it's fun!
do you have to compete as a hunter before you compete as a jumper if you only want to show in the jumper ring?
