Being a parent is not a contest. All parents are parent of the year to their children! Pitting one parent against each other is ridiculous and seems like it's just to cause drama. So please don't.

Would you support your kids' hobbies/passions even if you didn't agree with them? Like for example, if one of your kids came up to you one day and told you they'd like to take kickbox classes, but you consider that sport too violent and harsh. Would you eventually give in and allow them to practice?

If it was something they were passionate about and obviously didn't use it outside those classes to intentionally hurt someone, then of course I'd let them.

I don't know what to ask you to be honest. I'm always inclined to ask about fashion and what's in style this season and stuff like that and I know you're not into that. But I literally have no other ideas, it's a struggle.
