I would consider old 1930s-1970s.
I don't have a favorite, but here are some good ones:
- 12 Angry Men
- Gone With The Wind was well done
- It's A Wonderful Life
- Willy Wonka (beware, it's a musical...but Gene Wilder was AWESOME)
- Ben-Hur
- Sabrina (maybe? the newer version is better, though)
- The Shining is a must if you like horror (I personally don't, but if you watch one horror movie in your life, make it that one)
- Jaws ruined humanity's mindset about sharks forever...absolutely a classic
- The Ten Commandments
I will revisit and add to this list later.

Not at all. I just happen to think most people are bad at it. In my experience, it has never been worth it.

I don't know if worry is the right word, but for sure it is something we should all contemplate, and if there is anything we can do to actively help, within reason, take that action into serious consideration.

Who was the last person you met today?
This afternoon, I sat and talked with a neighbor on the other side of the parking lot, who also happens to be a distant cousin. I share a family tree with at least 1/3 of this town, and that is not an exaggeration.

What food would you give up?
Due to serious health issues, I've been forced to give up many foods that contain fiber. One of the foods I miss most is hummus. I hope I will be able to eat it again someday.
Would you rather have an electrical car or a regular one?
A hybrid would be cool, but I'm really not that picky. I would like to eventually see road vehicles use other sources of power, but I'm not qualified to make any rational suggestions.

I don't. I used to speak basic French, but I don't even remember that anymore. I am ashamed of not being bilingual, and I would prefer to be multilingual (French, Spanish, ASL at the very least), but I'm so tired I'm not retaining any new info at the moment. I hope that I'll be able to pursue it further in 2019.

It's not fair. It's frequently harsh, so pursue resilience if you intend to survive with your sanity intact. Humans are deeply flawed and selfish by nature. Empathy is important to both give and receive. Having a bad life doesn't give you a license to be horrible to people. Religious beliefs do not justify mistreating others. Respect does not have to be earned; it should be given. Trust is earned, and often broken, but that's not the next person's fault so don't make them a scapegoat. Stand up for yourself. Marriage isn't for everyone. Mental health is as valid as physical health. Don't be a sheep; think for yourself. Ask questions. Do whatever you possibly can to be independent of others. If you want something done, do it yourself. If you don't speak out, nothing will change. A combination of self-awareness, understanding, and genuine effort is the path to being a decent member of society. There's nothing wrong with being an introvert. Secular education is vital to a safe, intelligent, fully-functional world. Respectful communication is the key to all relationships. Bodily autonomy is a basic human right. Children aren't dumb, and they deserve to be heard. I'm chronically ill, but that doesn't make me crazy, bad, or weak. I didn't ask for this. I'm not normal by average society's standards, but I'm a heck of a lot more normal than I thought. I have a lot to learn. I'm still learning. Never stop learning.

That said, the auras are sometimes large dark spots, but I also experience the flashing or shimmering white lights, especially if light triggered the episode. It is not at all pleasant and can be debilitating.
