Why does it seem like all these things that were pretty popular are popping up again? I feel like people are being spoon fed their nostalgia to them instead of just looking back. For instance in TV world new sailor moon and Dbz. Fuller house. Wet hot summer. X-files. Coach. PPG. Twin peaks..

Just answered a similar question. I agree, generally. It's a worrying trend.

Hey Jason, I'm going to Comic-Con and my dad informed me that the fun house might not be there and there is gonna be a free t-shirt press there instead. do you know anything about this and can you tell me which one is gonna be at the convention?

I don't think the Fun House will be there. The Meatwad Dome, which is a crazy sort of psychedelic planetarium, will be! And Toonami Pre-Flight will broadcast a live episode from the Dome on Saturday from 1-3pm pt. Come see us! And yes, you can get a free t-shirt.

Thoughts on nostalgia and those who feel it?

Well, EVERYONE feels nostalgia. In and of itself, it serves a valuable function- it allows us to fondly remember and cherish moments from our past, thus preserving them against the tide of new information and experiences coming at us every day. Preserving those memories, and their importance, allows us to remember who we were- which informs who we ARE. All that said, I think the current wave of nostalgia overdosing, and the precious lil' babies who want to live in their own pasts, are toxic to our culture. I understand that it's largely a reaction to how fast life and culture move in 2015, and how much it can make people feel disconnected from meaningful experiences, I really do. I just don't think the answer is to dive into your own ass. If we aren't focused on creating new worlds to enjoy, what sort of future will we have? This is my opinion. Respect the past and look forward to the future, wherever possible.

Hannibal was one of my favorite shows, I'm so sad it see it got cancelled before its 4th season. Do you think someone like HBO or Netflix will pick it up?

I've read that Hannibal has European funding and I know it's not owned my NBC. They also have an exclusive streaming deal with Amazon, so I'd wager it ends up moving there or to one of the other streaming services.

did you like the viet cong album?

I think it's OKAY but I don't get the level of critical love the album seems to be getting.

How do you feel about directors that shit on their fans?

I think shitting on your fans sucks, of course it depends on if a fan is shitty to you first. Hahah.

What is your opinion on Deniro Farrar? Shady Blaze?

I dig them both. Been following Deniro for a long time.

who do you think would be a good director for a Hotline Miami movie?

I honestly wouldn't want it to be turned into a movie. It might make a cool anime!

Really enjoyed Michiko & Hatchin yesterday, thank you and the rest of the Toonami crew for giving it a chance! I think it's a nice break from all the superantural/fantasy/shounen shows.

Glad you dig!

Just a heads up: On your Michiko and Hatchin bumps you used the hashtag #Michiko&Hatchin. Ampersands can't trend. If you try typing it on Twitter, you'll get #Michiko as a hashtag and &Hatchin will read as normal text. It's probably why #MichikoAndHatchin ended up being the trending topic. I hate to

Oh thanks for letting me know!

I'm so awkward when I try to approach people and talk to people, whenever I try to put myself out there and make friends I almost always get shut down, and I tend to take things to heart and care what other people think of me a little to much. How can I stop being so introverted and weird? advice?

Honestly, there's nothing you can do but get on the horse again, and put yourself out there. You will eventually meet some friends, I promise! The reason friends are special is because it's not easy to make meaningful connections with another person. If it was, friends wouldn't mean much, would they? Just keep trying. Eventually you'll meet someone cool! I know this seems overly simplistic but I promise, IT REALLY IS THAT SIMPLE. Opportunity requires perseverance and patience. Good luck.

whats your fathers day advice for people like you who were unfortunate enough to grow up without a real father figure in their life? (myself included)

Well, I'm one of those people myself! I say, let people celebrate the ones they love and be happy for them. As for you- go see a movie, hang with friends, whatever! It's just a Hallmark holiday. No reason to let it eat away at you. Many of us are denied the same experiences as others, and that's juts the way it goes. Letting yourself be bummed and/or bitter over things you can't control is a sure path to madness. Letting go is such an important skill to learn in life. Good luck!

I meant to ask you this a while back. What are your thoughts on the DBZ(Original) Blurays? Do you like how they look? The lack of grain?

Never bought em. I dislike grain reduction in general though.

You're review on Game Of Thrones Season 5 as a whole? Expectations on whats to come?

Like the other seasons, it has great moments and really clunky ones. I'm looking forward to seeing what's next, but I'm not dying either way.

if offered the opportunity to work exclusively from home, would you take it?

I don't think it would be right for my mental health, personally!

Some of the questions here are fascinating. BTW, with all that has gone on with these CyberCutureWars - you feel that the Millennials are heading to a similar disappointment as the Baby Boomers are now? I trust nobody arguing these fights because they silence other voices of reason.

The simple fact is that it has been getting slowly harder to make a living as the years have gone by. The divide between the haves and have nots is wider than ever. Each successive generation feels the weight of this change more acutely, as it gets ever more difficult to simply make one's way in the world. I feel every generation is headed for their own particular disillusionment eventually- at least, those who think their generation has some particular power to change things. We live on a continuum and it's important for every generation to do what they can for those who succeed them. In that respect, each generation fails the next to some degree. Maybe one day we'll get it right. In the mean time, I believe personal change between individuals is the best, most realistic goal for most of us, and the only real way to make the world a better place.

The WSJ article is actually pretty funny to read because of how ridiculous it is. It's so over the top, and I'm sure it must have pissed you guys off. Anyone who has seen Toonami knows that it's bullshit, and guess what... those kids are older now, and they thank you

Thanks.

Did you mess with(personally, I know Toonami did) the Hotline Miami games? Played the first one this weekend, and thought it was great!! Especially the soundtrack!!

I wrote the Hotline Miami review, so yes! Love both of them, and the soundtracks to each are just great.
