Living beyond fear - of what ?

I think someone asked this before but cant remember if I answered it! For me the fears are numerous but include not being a good person, not fulfilling my purpose in life, not finding meaning in life, dying in general, getting ill, not being able to ask for help if I need it, making a fool of myself, not living up to my true potential.. the list goes on. BUT what's important is that I continue to work on those fears, to not let them take over driving my life, and the 'beyond' part hopes that maybe someday those fears to be background to joy and contentment.

Do you trust someone until they demonstrate they can not be trusted or do you not trust anyone until they demonstrate they can be trusted?

Cameliee’s Profile PhotoCamelié.
I tend to assume people are trustworthy and good-intentioned while still prioritising my own safety. Trust isn't a gift it's a two way exchange so although I credit people with a basic level of trust I would afford any human being any more than that would require building trust on both sides ?

Why do people commit Suicide? and, thinking about it,is suicidal Thoughts or Threats?

Trigger warning people: talk about suicide
That's a big question and I think many different answers as everyone has different circumstances. One thing from my experience is that often it is not about wanting to die but about not being able to see a way out of the pain and suffering people are feeling. Having suicidal thoughts or someone saying they want to end their life should ALWAYS be taken seriously. One thing that we work on with people in crisis experiencing this is to identify protective factors (things which help keep them safe) and risk factors (things which tend to trigger these feelings) and ways to help with that. Hope is so important, feeling that things can improve and that there is help out there and people who care is so important. My therapist saved my life one day just by talking to me on the phone all day and showing me that someone did care and did want to help me.

In 2038, you get invited to a 2020-themed party. What do you wear?

zy_cv’s Profile PhotoManu
Lol who said I was accepting the invite? I suppose everyone is going to go for face masks so I might avoid that and go as a bottle of hand sanitizer instead ?

Do you care what others think about you?

Yes, waaaaaay too much probably! My worst scenario for people pleasing is if someone is in authority over me, I just want to do a good job! I'm a lot better with this now but I'd like to be more confident about sticking up for myself and being assertive so I don't feel I have to be liked all the time!

What’s the luckiest thing that happened to you that could have ended disastrous?

zy_cv’s Profile PhotoManu
When I was a kid my sister and I ignored my parents and went through a shortcut where a traveller community had their caravans. One of their dogs came bounding up to us and I had always been told not to run from a dog as it will out run me. My sister ran off and I stood there and the dog came up to me and bit my bottom! Having done so it went back to its caravan. Thinking back now I could have actually got mauled pretty badly that day!

How would you describe your sense of style?

Substance over style! I like practical comfy clothes and style very much comes 2nd. I tend to like clothes that are a bit different from the norm and if I can't find anything I like I will customise to my liking. The worst thing for me would be walking past a shop and matching one of the mannequin!

do u ever have conversations with friends that result in tears ? why ?

Sometimes yes, but for lots of different reasons! Sometimes we find something hilarious and laugh until we cry, sometimes we get upset at a film or something and sometimes one of us is upset about something happening in their life. Crying isn't a big deal with my close friends we are all quite emotional people!

Do you prefer your ice cream in a cup or on a cone?

A cone! I like the wafer bit with the ice cream I'd feel cheated if I didn't get that and a flake with my ice cream!

If someone wants to give you something that'll make you happy no matter what, what should they give you? ? What about it makes you so happy? ?

A cup of tea and chocolate bar. I like how no matter what else is going on around me having my hands around a cup of warm tea and feeling the chocolate melt in my mouth feels so comforting! My mum's first port of call in any storm is a cuppa so I think I associate it with being cared for and looked after.

have u ever been heart broken?

Yes I'd say twice which I don't think is bad going for 34 years old! It was awful but I think it was the right thing looking back.

Have you ever sent a message and then immediately regretted it?

So many times!! Usually at work when I have a sudden boost of confidence and am feeling assertive I'll send one and then the instant regret kicks in and I wish I'd just keep my head down!

Was there one friend in particular when you were younger that your parents do NOT like? How come?

My parents were pretty okay with my friends but I remember them being unsure about one girl who turned up at my house and asked them if I was allowed to go to the nightclub. I was 14 at the time but my parents needn't have worried as I really didn't want to go anyway so told them to say no! ?

If you had to choose one place to live in for your entire life. What would it be?

crowdedmind2’s Profile PhotoRawan✨
It would have to be here where I am now! I'm really aware of how lucky I am with all the access to facilities I have as well as living close to my family and friends. And now my work which I live doing is here too. There maybe are places that could be more picturesque but it would take a lot to get me to move somewhere else.

Does aircraft fly over your house often? We get the planes and copters from the air force base often.

Yes we have an airport about 20 miles away and often see planes in the sky here. It's weird though I really haven't noticed if there are less now with the lockdown I guess there must be! ✈

Are you a person that likes to be around alot alot of people? Or do you kinda like to stick with little crowds? Or you don't mind either? Big or little crowds.

Ice_Frozen_Vocals’s Profile PhotoŞωεεT† ɮȩ̷̠̝͙̎̑̆ℓℓล ♡♪
I feel reassured having lots of people around, and the anonymity of being in a crowd BUT I'm by no means the life and soul of a party and a social situation with loads of people is not something I look forward to! I much prefer much smaller gatherings where I can really get to know people and them me.
