As an adult... I've come to the conclusion that I tend to get excited about the smallest of things! In example, KITCHEN GADGETS?! Why do I like them so much?*shrugs* But the "Nutrislicer" is my new best friend! xD Is there an "Adult toy" (keep it PG people lol), that tickles your adult fancy, too?:P

Haha! Yep me too! I get so excited to use this little guy I found to take toast out of the toaster 🤣

Which part of day is the most productive for you?

Late afternoon. I suddenly get a bit of motivation when I feel I am nearing the evening having accomplished very little!

If someone predominately... 20+ years older than you, says you look like their ex from their high school years.... Do you take it as a compliment? Or does it make you uneasy? I didn't take it to heart when a customer said this to me... But my coworker was creeped out by it, lol. *shrugs*

It would be more that it is quite a weird comparison to make if they didn't know you. Almost like saying 'you were in my league 20 years ago' 🤣

Is “You didn’t change a bit” a compliment for you or does it leave you with kind of a weird feeling?

itzmanu_’s Profile PhotoManu
Depends on the context really. I'd tend to take it that they mean well. I think it's more when they notice something about you that is the same - they don't really mean you didnt change at all. That just isn't true. You definitely aged lol.

How can you tell that spring is in the air?

When you breathe and you can't see your breathe it's a good sign things are warming..

If you sneeze and cough inside your elbow, how safe is it to touch elbows to greet?

Not as safe as wearing a mask and saying hello from 2m away. 😷

What’s the scariest dream you have ever had?

I had one as a kid which was so real that when I woke up I was unsure if it was really happening. I'd fell asleep in front of the fire in the lounge and dreamt that it had snowed but that lots of little snow drops had started to grow in it. As they got bigger they turned into aliens with big bug like eyes. I was terrified to look out of the window when I woke up!

What constitutes a good friend?

TalMago’s Profile PhotoTal
A good friend is someone you can be your authentic self around, who respects your boundaries but is honest about theirs too. Someone who is kind, who sees the best in you and genuinely cares. A person you share a connection with and who is there through the good, bad and in-between. A good friend values who you are right now rather than trying to change you but is there to offer emotional and practical support when needed.
To be fair it's not easy being a good friend - sometimes we all mess up - but it is the intent to be a good friend that matters most.

You're walking around inside somewhere and you see what appears to be a ghost.... Then one by one your four friends see and hear things too at different times. Are you more likely to think it's 1. real ghosts, 2. a gas leak, 3. black magic or 4. something like shared delusions such as Folie A Deux?

I'd go with gas leak but be silently bricking it thinking it was real ghosts! 😱

What was the last movie you watched? Would you recommend it to others?

It was Groundhog Day! Just came on while I was watching TV. If you haven't see it I'd say it's worth a watch!

Do you think it's disrespectful to answer in your native language when the question was asked in English?

It depends really on if the person knows English. They may be replying 'I don't understand' or something! I like to think most people have access to translate so can translate into other languages etc anyway.

I bet it was the excitement about it being your first trip outside of UK that made it the best trip for you so far. 😄 Or how would you explain it?

itzmanu_’s Profile PhotoManu
Gosh it was so many firsts for me! I'd never been on a cruise ship or used different currency or been in an airport 😲 I was fascinated by the different language and culture but also it brought into sharp focus for me my absolutely huge privilege to have the things I have and enjoys the freedoms and agency in my own life. I cried out of guilt on one trip after driving through one of the really poor areas in our luxury air conditioned coach. There were kids living on this massive rubbish dump and digging away in it. So it was memorable for me in many ways really as well as being excited to see places I had studied about.

Your home education really sounds beautiful and the way learning is supposed to be! I’m very happy for you that you had this experience! — I feel like through school many people somewhat loose the interest in learning new things. Would you agree?

itzmanu_’s Profile PhotoManu
Yes, totally! The enthusiasm for learning and kids natural curiosity is stiffled by modern education systems which focus too much on exams and an inflexible curriculum. I am so pleased that I never lost that curiosity or want to learn new things. What was your experience of school like?

Where else have you traveled the past 7 years?

itzmanu_’s Profile PhotoManu
I've also been to Tennerife which was also really lovely (with the exception of the flight where my ears really hurt!). I've also been to Paris, France twice and absolutely love it there. So many memories I will treasure! I have lots more places on my list so Covid-19 needs to go bye-bye soon! I'm lucky we have so much in the UK to see aswell (I am easily placated with a hottub overlooking the sea 😍). What about you have you travelled much?

In regards to fact #3 - I'm really glad you're still here. I hope you're doing okay.

I am doing okay thank you 😊 I've always struggled with my mental health from a young age. I've come to terms with that being part of who I am, and have discovered that it brings gifts as well as pain. Although I still struggle, I'd say I understand myself more now and have a lot more faith in my ability to cope and be able to live good life 😊

What did your home education look like? I haven’t experienced it myself, so I’m always curious about how it is/was for people who have/had that ☺️

itzmanu_’s Profile PhotoManu
My mum was really keen I still have a really good education and especially keen on English and Maths being priority. Each morning was academic subjects - I would do some of each and the also either science or geography. I was allowed a lot of freedom really to follow the textbooks and spend more time on bits I enjoyed etc. Afternoons we did creative and social education which was anything really! Sometimes it would be going out somewhere or researching something, other times it might be going to the library or learning to cook or clean. I like art so did a lot of creative projects! My sister was also home educated with me for 2 years so we studied GCSEs together despite her being younger which was fun. We also met other home ed kids and I had loads of pen pals around the world I corresponded with. I'm really grateful to my parents for giving me the chance to enjoy learning even though I hated school! I still love learning to this day and currently going a degree 😊

Which was the first place you traveled outside of the UK?

itzmanu_’s Profile PhotoManu
I wasn't sure about flying so I decided if I was going to face my fear it better be for something amazing. We went on a Red Sea cruise which incorporated sights in Egypt and Jordan. I love Petra and Luxor the best but also went to the pyramids at Giza, Cairo museum and Valley of the Kings. Still the best holiday ever to this day and that was 7 years ago now!
