i knew it i knew it that you would love to answer that question lol <3 T.S Eliot <33333 i like Rimbaud and recently read Ginsberg and Kerouac. Poems with blunt words never fail to interests me, thought you would like ginsberg's my sad self, it's like reading desperate namjun somehow omggg idk
RIMBAUD I LOVE RIMBAUDDDD MY FAVOURITE POEM FROM RIMBAUD IS NOVEL at least the translated version--rimbaud is really good, and Baudelaire too!!!! and yes i do like the beat generation a lot :DD i like Kerouac in particular but i've only read Howl from Ginsberg so i can't really say a lot about him. I'm currently reading Kerouac's On The Road though :DD
AND YES BEAT GENERATION IS VERY NAMJOON i call namjoon jack kerouac a lot because he really resembles the beatnik way of thinking??? When bangtan visited SF i reallllllly hoped that someone told him about the San Francisco Renaissance and the beat generation (kerouac, ginsberg, burroughs, rexroth, etc) because i think he'd like them a lot amd would relate to them to an extent :DDD

None!! :D that's the fun part. Everyone will have a different approach of understanding a poem and it's what's beautiful. Bukowski's Marina will have a different meaning to me than what it means to you. It's not rocket science, really--there's no formula to it, just read. :DD

JSJSJDNXNDNN I HAVE A LOT
I can't pick one so we'll go with a few names and my favourite of their poems
1. my all-time, utmost favourite number 1 would be T.S. Eliot and i like The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, The Waste Land and La Figlia che Piange the most. really like really please read his poems they're beautiful they take you on a journey really nobody does it like him. La Figlia che Piange changed how i write forever.
2. Charles Bukowski, and i have so many favourites from Bukowski it's almost impossible to choose. he has this way of making everyday vocabulary sound so pretty. i like Cause and Effect, Beasts Bounding Through Time, One Thirty-Six AM AND OF COURSE PUISI ANGST KITA SEMUA For Jane and For Jane: With All The Love I Had, Which Was Not Enough.
3. Pablo Neruda HE HAS A VERY SWEET WAY OF ADDRESSING THINGS and idk his poems have this sad, loving tone? like there's always a little sadness involved? my favourites are Sonnet XXXIV, Ode to Salt and So That You Will Hear Me (which is the poem that is being referred to here https://m.ask.fm/nunggudebut/answers/132151632618)
4. I like Sylvia Plath's novel more than i like her poems but her poems really are good, it's just her novel was a masterpiece. my favourite poems from sylvia plath are Mad Girl's Love Song and Love is a Parallax.
5. i also like Margaret Atwood she's sweet but brutally honest and just painfully beautiful, almost in the same way as Bukowski. I like Postcards and You Begin the most. (Postcards is the poem that i would most likely tell namjoon about if i had the chance to, along with Prufrock.)
6. Joseph Brodsky wrote great poems. he's really really really really good like really i don't even have the words. I like Belfast Tune most, and I Sit by the Window.

When you don't know if something is true or not, especially when it's negative and it has something to do with someone's personal life and it's something that might affect how people view them, it's always wiser to just leave it there and not spread it around. Repeated lies will be perceived as truth. It's the basic rule of propaganda that has been used repeatedly throughout the history and apparently it's very common to happen in a smaller scale within the kpop fandom.
It's not fair for these artists because this will affect some people. Some people will still consider this as truth, especially their antis even though the source wasn't even mentioned and has no reputation of being credible. Also unconfirmed informations about their personal lives will have no significance whatsoever to us because there is no way we can confirm them.
If this is something that you do a lot--reading unconfirmed items about them and spreading it around--i suggest you to stop. I'm sorry i'm being very hard on you right now but this is serious matter. You wouldn't want this to happen to you as well, would you?
This kind of habit in the kpop fandom needs to stop. This is what started the whole Tablo controversy a few years back--an unconfirmed claim in the Internet about how he didn't graduate from Stanford--it's one of those unconfirmed statements that kept on being repeated and told around. And look at what happened to Tablo, his life was practically ruined. Good thing the guy who made the claim got his punishment.
So please stop. I don't appreciate questions like this at all. This is not good for you, not good for the artists, and everyone else. This is small-scale libel amd we don't want this to get bigger, this is vile.
