What's your ideal interior design aesthetic?
I think you have to match it to the building. Ideally I'd go for clean, modern lines, plain painted walls and minimalist furniture, but the building I live in wouldn't suit that, and it needs colours, wallpaper, older and more comfortable furniture.
One thing I have tried to do, is to get a completely different feel in each room, so my dining room is cool blue and white colours and light maple furniture, and my living room is warmer reds, browns and oranges and dark wood furniture

Which do you celebrate more - Christmas or New Year?
Christmas. I do nothing much on New Year even in a non-Covid year. I'll normally stay in to watch the countdown on TV, and the London fireworks on TV (though I'm assuming none this year), and have a glass of vintage port or whisky to toast the New Year, but that's about it.
This year, a load of my friends are meeting online for a Zoom video call, and that will actually be better than a normal year, so I'm good with that.

What’s invisible but you wish people could see?
Lonliness.
There are a lot of lonely people in the World (probably in London more than anywhere, which is ironic considering the huge population).
If lonliness were visible then it would be easier to reach out to all of those people who are desperate for some social interaction but who don't know how to ask for it.

I've not been in contact with anyone who I could catch one from. First year for ages when I've not had one.
If you've managed to catch a cold then you should worry about what else you might have also caught, and have a good hard look at yourself as to why you've been mixing with anyone to that extent.
