Good morning ☺️ it’s been awhile 😅 how are you feeling? what are your plans for today

GeorginaKeemcook’s Profile PhotoGeorgina
I recently returned from holiday so I have a shed load (official S.I. unit - more than a heap but less than a F*kton) of things to do, including collecting some grapes from a friend (so I can make wine) and clearing away all my dead sunflowers, but first I'm off to the cinema in a minute to see the latest Indiana Jones movie.

How often (If ever) does it happen that you enter a "flow-state"? Like when you're so focused on a task you almost forget to eat etc. Do you remember what you were doing last time that happened? ✏️⌨️

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
This often happens when I'm working, either writing a computer program or building a database. Once I've started it's often easier just to carry on and finish than it is to stop and start up again.

What's the biggest crowd you've done something in front of? What were you doing? 🎤👥

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
I appeared on stage with my favourite band as part of a quiz team, playing against the band, at a fan club convention. There would have been about 3000 people there.
It is possible that there might have been more people than that at my university graduation ceremony when I collected my degree, which was in the Royal Albert Hall.

Capitalism or socialism?

Alijeff110’s Profile PhotoSyed Ali Abbas
Capitalism makes the money and socialism spends it. You need a bit of both.
Everything that the government does costs money. Education, health, defence, police, social care, street lighting, parks, rubbish collection, literally everything. Nothing that the government does makes any money at all. So where does all that spending money come from? Private businesses, ie Capitalism.

Do you prefer answering shoutouts or personal?

suman29668’s Profile Photosuman
I'd rather get personal questions, and I mean proper personal ones sent specifically to me and not just to all of a person's friends, but I'll take whatever I can get 🤣

Does anyone have any comedy movie recommendation’s? 🍿🎬

Life of Brian.
"Who cured you?"
"Jesus did, sir. I was hopping along, minding my own business, all of a sudden, up he comes, cures me! One minute I'm a leper with a trade, next minute my livelihood's gone. Not so much as a by-your-leave! "You're cured, mate." Bloody do-gooder."

Build more cycle paths, especially in scenic areas. Last week I cycled the Tarka trail from Braunton to Torrington via Barnstaple, Instow and Bideford, which is entirely along a disused railway line, so wonderfully flat!

What is the most memorable holiday you have been on?

SlimMan’s Profile PhotoBilly Walker
I'm lucky to have been able to travel quite a lot, and I have a lot of great memories from holidays I've taken. Cruising the backwaters of Kerala on a rice boat is probably the single most memorable event, but for a holiday as a whole I would say the three weeks that I spent traveling around Japan by train.

What do you think about the teenager who cut down the famous sycamore tree?

Shannon678900’s Profile PhotoShannon
They've also arrested a 60 year old man. Tbh, I think it is unlikely that a 16 year old would have the skill or strength to cut down such a big tree with the very large chainsaw that would have been required to do the job, and to do it so neatly. Whoever did that had experience.

Do you think you should be able to find out who your sperm donor or egg donor is?

Shannon678900’s Profile PhotoShannon
I think you should be allowed to have some basic details regarding genetic history, ethnicity, maybe even height, eye and hair colour, but not anything that can identify them. Not unless the donor wishes to be known. It's hard enough as it is to find people willing to donate, and without anonymity a lot of people would refuse to take part.

If you were to be in a band and you had to name it, what would you call it?

LouisaRHale’s Profile PhotoLou
I'd call myself "Unknown Artist" and my songs would be called "Track 1", "Track 2" etc.
If you ripped the songs to your PC then nobody could ever find them 🤣

How many times have you been to the doctor's/hospital this year?

Shannon678900’s Profile PhotoShannon
I went to hospital once when I came off my bike and hit my head on the pavement. I think I've only been to the doctor once, for an ear infection that developed after a bad cold and which cleared up with some ear drops. And I think I had a COVID booster about a year ago.

Have you ever done video editing of any kind? What did you put together? 🎬✂️

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
Yes, I've done some family home movies (mostly holidays), and several music videos for a friend who sings and plays guitar. Most of those were actually animations, but put together in video editing software. I think I'm fairly good at multilayer motion effects, and I like starting out with a still image (photo or drawing) and turning it into 3D by splitting into layers and animating them separately. I use Adobe Premier Pro.
Most of my work isn't currently online, the only one I can find is this short animation which started out as a single digital painting.
