If you were an actor, would you rather perform as a theater or movie actor?

With movies you only have to perform it once, and you don't have to remember your lines for any longer than the length of each scene. I'm sure that proper actors would tell you that there's nothing like performing in front of a live audience, but to me it's a no-brainer.

Well, to each their own, I suppose! xD... No judgement on the cake here... because after all... CAKE IS CAKE!! I'll just have to add some frosting on mine... Being an american and all, need to get my daily intake of diabetes. xD

I will never forget the time I went into a Walmart somewhere in America and noticed that the price of 8 donuts was the same as the price of 1 apple.

Well, drinking alone definitely blows! haha. Plus, there's too many fun drinking games out there to do with people! That's awesome that ya'll still connect/keep in touch, even through zoom call! Those are friendships for keeps :P

We've not started drinking games online yet, but we do have our Christmas party online this Friday, so anything could happen.

do you have any paid subscriptions (netflix, spotify premium, amazon prime etc), and are they worth it? would you recommend it to others?

No, none at all, other than a band fan club which is very good value for money. £12 a year gets me 3 big full colour magazines and a free CD or DVD at Christmas (usually a live gig recording or some unreleased cover versions of Christmas songs).
For TV I use Freeview and an old TiVo recorder which currently has about 100 films on it that I haven't got around to watching yet.

Yeah, that's true... I kinda miss attending concerts! They were fun! Have you been able to keep in touch with friends? Are you able to even mask up and meet up with them, over yonder there?

I'm currently in "tier 2" which means I'm allowed to meet a maximum of 6 people from outside of my household, but only outdoors in a public place.
In practice though, I'm seeing nobody. My actual friends live too far away to meet often anyway and the other people I normally see socially at my various activities are not close friends.
We do Zoom (video) call regularly though. Every Friday night since March there's a group of about 20 of us who get together online, of which around 12 normally turn up, and we talk and chat (and drink) from about 8pm until 3am or 4am sometimes. It's just an excuse not to be drinking alone really, lol.

Is it just me, or... when someone is wearing sunglasses in a picture... do you ever zoom in on the lens just to see what's going on behind the camera? xD *shrugs* No? Okay! xD lololol #InquiringMinds #WouldLikeToKnow

Yep, I do that all the time. I also look at the mirrors and window reflections on movies to see if I can see any camera crew.

What was something you failed to do... time and time again... only to finally succeed in the end? :D (yay!! *throws confetti*) Was it worth it?

Recently I've been trying to write some software on a PC to control a music synthesizer (keyboard) via its MIDI interface (a standard connector most keyboards have). It is really hard to get it to work, it's just one error after another, but I got there in the end. I now have the basic communications working, and the rest is just writing a user interface really. Hopefully I'll get it to do something useful in the end.

Really? My gosh!! They targeted one of the BEST people on here :O Ask.fm must be jealous of you ;) Good thing you could still create another! And same... My 1000+ Q's are probably never gonna be answered. xD*sigh*...I've just been living life as late! Looking forward to 2021. What's new wiff you? :D

Too kind.
Not much happening here. Not going out much, obviously. No gigs, no trips into London, no Bridge, no Table tennis etc, just cycling, gardening (when the weather's better) and trying to keep busy. Same as most people, I guess.

BAHAHA xD I couldn't even FATHOM the thought of giving them an $8.74 giftcard... xD I'd have to come up with some kind of lame excuse like... "Yeah, uh taxes... LOTS OF TAXES" lol. xD

There must be worse gifts, but I'm having trouble thinking of one.

What’s your favorite character trait about yourself? Do people appreciate that trait about you as well?

itzmanu_’s Profile PhotoManu
I think I have good sense of humour, although it can be a bit dry sometimes. Not sure what others think of it. I can be a bit of a tease, but I only do that with people who I really like, so it's a compliment really.

Some bits are likely to be true. Anyone who isn't vaccinated will find it almost impossible to travel abroad, for example.
It is very difficult for a government to demand compulsory vaccination of its own citizens due to problems with civil liberties. It would be too unpopular. However, stopping foreigners coming into your country who aren't vaccinated is a very easy thing to do and it would get widespread support amongst the citizens. I expect most countries to enforce that in due course. Some countries already require vaccinations for yellow fever, hepatitis, cholera etc, and adding Covid to the list is trivial. The mechanisms are already in place to do this.
No vaccination, no foreign travel.
A lot of the rest is conspiracy rubbish.

If you had an actual shoulder angel and devil who you interacted with on a daily basis, how would your relationship be with each one of them? 😇😈 How do you think it'd be like to have them standing on your shoulders each time you were going to make a moral decision? Haha

I'm not easily influenced, so I think they'd both get tired of being ignored.

What would you say your "love language" is? (i.e. physical touch, words of affirmation, gifts, quality time, acts of service) And how so? :)

Cook for me and I'm yours.

What's your favorite soup or hot beverage (for those who don't like soup, lol) you like to enjoy during this cold-ish, wintery weather? :)

I make a great leek and potato soup which is very warming, and pumpkin soup when I can get one. The problem with pumpkins is that I can't rely on the supermarket delivery person to choose the right type and size for me, and I've not been in a supermarket myself since March.

What keeps you busy during this global pandemic? 😷 I hope you are all managing somehow, its been a tough year but you all made it this far. I'm proud of you all ❤️

Not very much, to be honest.
I try and go on a long cycle ride once a week, weather permitting. I was doing a lot of work in the garden but not the season for it now.
Paid work, which I normally do from home anyway, has been very slow (for no good reason really).
I now play Bridge, the card game, online with my normal bridge friends once a week using a website which deals and scores for us, and we have a WhatsApp group voice call open on the side so we can still chat.
Once a week I have a massive Zoom video call with a dozen friends that I normally go to gigs with, and that often goes on for 6 or 7 hours. It's an excuse not to drink alone, haha.
Watching a lot of films, doing some computer programming for fun (in lieu of actual work), baking etc.

Harry Potter movies - Yay or Nay?

I have seen them all, I borrowed the box set from a friend, but not a fan really. I have only read the first book.

Do you like or dislike honey comb?

BonjourCaptain’s Profile Photozar
I ate a crunchy bar just last night, but it was from a selection box so I didn't actually choose it as such. It's ok, but not my favourite. I made my own cinder toffee once, it's not hard to do, but you have to eat it fairly quickly before it turns back into a sticky mess.

I always like to buy myself something identifiable with gift cards, but I admit that there have been occasions when I went to buy something in a shop for someone else and realised I had a gift card I could use. A worse sin is to just give them the actual gift card, but make sure it has a round number left on it such as $10, not $8.74 😂
