Jigsaw! It's been so long! :O What happened to your old page? I had to re-follow you!!!

Hi Justine, where have you been? My account just got disabled one day with no explanation. It's been happening to a few people lately. Never mind, those 1000+ questions in my inbox were never going to get answered anyway.

Have you ever ordered or shared one of those giant party sub sandwiches?

shehitsback2794’s Profile Photoshehitsback
No, although I did once get confused in Subway and ordered a 6 foot sub when the choice was between a 6 inch and a foot long.

Do you know how to read Roman numerals?

shehitsback2794’s Profile Photoshehitsback
I do. I also know an interesting fact about Roman numerals. The numeral for 4 is normally "IV" but on analogue clocks and watches which use numerals it is traditional to use "IIII" instead. There is one exception, which is the Elizabeth Tower on the UK Houses of Parliament (usually called Big Ben, although that's actually the name of the bell), and on that clock they do use "IV" for 4.

Well, I respect you for that honesty which is one of the great things about you as a person. Regards my appearance it’s not unheard of, many people make presumptions on appearance and me being ‘alternative’, people can be weary of that but I’m very much used to it. I’m glad however you can see past😁

I am pleased to get this response because I admit that I had second thoughts before sending it. In the end I figured that I knew you well enough to be reasonably sure that you would take it as the compliment it was intended to be.
PS: You seem to have chickened out of my Sudoku challenge 😛

Do you have any words you like more than others? Maybe the pronunciation? How it’s written? Or the meaning of that word? I do, I’m just wondering if I’m weird or that’s normal 🤷‍♀️😂

BonjourCaptain’s Profile Photozar
It's not unusual to be fascinated by words, especially if you read a lot (which I don't). However, there are some words that I like the sound of. For example I seem to be using the word "parsimonious" a lot lately, which means mean or stingy, especially if, for example, I have received a smaller portion of food than I was expecting!
Having trouble thinking of other words right now, I'm tired.

Thank you Zar, and may I say that you are an excellent judge of character, lol 🤣
I'm not without my faults though, and I admit that one of them is that when I first saw your profile I made a lot of assumptions about your character based solely on your photos - ie. your piercings, stretchers, make-up etc. They convey certain attitudes and preconceptions which indicated to me that you wouldn't be the sort of person that I would normally get along with.
However, time and experience has shown that I was well wide of the mark, and it has shone a light on some of my prejudices. In fact, I find you to be a very interesting, intelligent, thoughtful, kind and caring person, and I apologise most sincerely for any assumptions that I might have initially had about you.
Of course, you would never have known that if I hadn't just admitted it, because I would never have been so rude as to say so. However, you have continually surprised me, and only ever in a good way, and for that I am grateful. Stay awesome too.

Are you good at expressing your feelings to friends/family/partners? Or do you struggle to open up? Or avoid it?

BonjourCaptain’s Profile Photozar
Tend to avoid it, tbh, like most men. You'd have to get to know me a lot better before you had any chance of knowing my true feelings.

What did you eat for dinner/tea today? How was it? Did you cook yourself?

BonjourCaptain’s Profile Photozar
I just had pasta with feta cheese, black olives, sundried tomato and capers, which I cooked myself. For dessert I had a pecan and maple sponge pudding (Tesco) with custard, cheese and biscuits, and half a pint of my homemade beer.

You sound very colour co ordinated and it’s so awesome 👏🏻 I hate things that don’t match, bugs me 🙈😂

BonjourCaptain’s Profile Photozar
When I moved in, every room needed redecorating, new curtains and new carpets, and I owned almost no furniture. Consequently, it was fairly easy to coordinate everything.
I'm not great with design and artistic things generally, so I mainly went for plain carpets, simple patterns for wallpaper, and then I just tried to pick out a colour from something in the room to decide on paint colours.
Tip: always choose the paint last. There are a million choices or paint colours, but only a handful of wallpapers and carpets, so you can always find a paint to match, but not the other way around.

What’s your top 5 favourite comedy movies?

BonjourCaptain’s Profile Photozar
I'm dreadful at remembering films, and there aren't many that I've watched more than once, so not sure I'll get to five, but....
Life of Brian
Inside Out (does that count? It's pretty funny)
Groundhog Day
A Fish called Wanda
Airplane

Would you want a robot housekeeper like in the Jetsons? Are you mad that we don't have those standard issue yet?

shehitsback2794’s Profile Photoshehitsback
I'm not a great fan of doing housework, but fortunately it never seems to get too dirty nor untidy. I could probably afford to employ a cleaner for a couple of hours a week but never saw the need. A robot would be helpful, but not sure I'd trust it.

BonjourCaptain’s Profile Photozar
I try and make each room look different. Different colour scheme, different style etc. You can see from my Christmas Tree photos from earlier that my two main rooms have contrasting schemes where one is cool blue and white colours, and the other is warm reds, browns, oranges.

What kind of accounts do you follow? What things do you think of when clicking follow? Do you follow those who tell you they’ve followed you or automatically not?

BonjourCaptain’s Profile Photozar
They must have interesting answers that put some effort in. People with long sequences of one or two word answers definitely don't get followed. That's the only criteria really.
If someone tells me they follow me then I will always check out their page and then make a decision to either follow them closely, ignore them, or remember them enough that I will check them out again in future when I am reminded of them again (through seeing them like answers or ask questions to me or to others I follow)

In regards to who you follow, what makes you ‘unfollow’ someone on here, any annoying things you get irritated by?

BonjourCaptain’s Profile Photozar
I'm quite choosy about who I follow as I use my Wall a lot and I will read most of the things that those people post. It's therefore quite hard to get onto my follow list in the first place, and I don't recall ever having to remove anyone. Maybe once when someone who I followed switched from having 90% of their posts in English to having 20% or fewer in English.

If you have to chose your birthday cake, what flavours would you have? Would it be standard jam, chocolate or other of your choosing?

BonjourCaptain’s Profile Photozar
Some sort of sponge cake with butter icing on it, and layers of either jam or cream Maybe chocolate sponge with coffee icing/cream

What type of kid were you at school (from 11+), were you quiet? Class clown? Hard studier? Skip classes? Other?

BonjourCaptain’s Profile Photozar
I was always near the top of the class in Maths and science subjects, pretty average in English, History & Geography, and well down the order in languages and arts. I never skipped class and I was fairly well behaved, but my attention tended to drift a lot because, to be frank, I found it all too easy (well, for those subjects I liked, anyway). I was terrible at doing homework, and I rarely studied outside of class. I didn't mind helping a lot of other kids with their work so I had quite a few friends, but I wasn't at all sporty and I definitely wasn't cool.

I am pretty good at them 🙈😂 challenge is on 🤫🤪

BonjourCaptain’s Profile Photozar
We can do that! Choose one online somewhere that I can print out (there are loads of sites that have them on) and we can both time ourselves. I trust you to time it honestly. The harder it is, the better, because for the easy ones the timing can be down to luck as much as anything else. Post me a link to the puzzle (or put an image on your page) and I'll send back my solution and timing, then you can tell me yours.

When was the last time that you got sick? 🤒 Have you gotten sick less often now during the pandemic? 😷

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
Most years I normally get a cold, but that's all really. I've not had one for a while, but then Social distancing is no doubt helping that as well as avoiding Covid.

Do you have your phones brightness at its highest, somewhere in between or lowest? Do you ever change it according to day/night?

BonjourCaptain’s Profile Photozar
I have it at the lowest I can get away with, to save battery and to save my eyes. In bright sunlight I'll tutn it up, obviously. It has an auto setting, but it's not great at getting it right.
