That's like comparing apples and oranges. Both fruit, but there the similarity ends. Some music is better suited to piano, some to synthesizer. My favourite piano piece: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEGOihjqO9w
You’ve been given a sufficient budget to host (or outsource) a weekend festival of your design. What type of festival would it be? What would happen there? Would it be free or charged? What are examples of things festivalgoers could expect to see/do?
I'd run a maker/hackerthon festival for people who like to build electronic circuits, robots, and other such things. It would include:A market place for buying electronic components and robotic parts etc (ever since Maplins closed, NOWHERE sells components anymore, other than by mail order)Teaching, lectures and demonstrations of various different aspects and platforms (eg. Raspberry Pi, Arduino, BBC Microbit, robotics, Lego Technic, programming, sensors, servo control, soldering etc)Project rooms where people can build stuff, with supervision and one-to-one advice if required.Competitions in categories such as the fastest robot car, robot fights/wars, best light displays, electronic music projects etc.As it's quite educational, I reckon we could get it sponsored fairly easily, plus we'd get income from charging the market traders and the food vendors, so it might be possible to run it for free. They'd probably have to be a nominal charge for materials, for any of the activities that involved people actually building stuff.
Some of the vegan cheeses do melt ok (kinda), but they're just not the same. Other than the cheese, pizza is all vegan anyway unless you actually put meat on it, so as long as you can cope with non-melting coconut-fat "cheese" then I don't see a problem.
I replaced both of the gear cables on my bike, which took longer than it should because I didn't notice that the second one needed replacing until I'd already been to the shop and fixed the first one, so I had to go back again. It's amazing how cheap bike parts can be. The cables were only £2 each.
The Lidl near me is always a mess with product strewn all around the shelves and aisles blocked by empty boxes and food crates. It's a terrible experience. The Aldi is much better, but ever since March last year I've had Tesco deliver.
The underground is great for getting around because London is so big, but nobody who uses it regularly would call it enjoyable. I prefer to use Boris bikes as much as possible as they're often quicker for short journeys, and I enjoy playing with the traffic slightly more than I enjoy playing sardines underground. Especially with Covid etc.
I don't work out, but I do try to cycle at least once a week. Sometimes that's difficult in the winter, which could be why I tend to put weight on in the winter. Or that could be the Christmas chocolate 🤣
What's the best film you streamed or saw at the cinema this year? 🥤
I've not been to the cinema for nearly 2 years, and I can't think of any particularly good films I've watched recently, but here, have a picture of a donkey sanctuary that I recently visited.
I always choose natural juice (although it's usually apple or grape juice, not the juice of the actual fruit you bought), unless there is a significant price difference.
We'd all benefit from fewer people on the planet and they should be applauded. Only those without kids can ever reduce their carbon emissions to zero - when they die without children and stop consuming resources themselves.
