How easy is it for you to admit that you are in the wrong? How often does your ego land you in hot water?
I used to be more stubborn over trivial matters.
I still have an ego, under my insecurities, but as someone with a strong background in science and debate etc i very much value truth, facts, reasons, and verifiavle evidence. If i am wrong, then i am wrong.
Mistakes are merely opportunities from which we can lesrn and grow from if we only just analyze what happened and where we went wrong.
By learning from our mistakes rather than fighting to preserve our fragile egos, we mature as people.

What was one of your most defining moment in life?
They day i my knowledge did not match my training/certifications back at summer camp.
A classmate of mine was hurt and her toe had a deep laceration. She was experiencing incapacitating pain.
I knew what to do but i was not first aid certified or anything, so i refrained from treating her and instead had to run and find a police officer who contacted EMS.
That day I knew i needed to become more so i could protect the people around me.
And now i am here, an EMT and medic student xD

Is it hubris and a sign of cognitive biases running rampant for adults to believe that they can teach their children in a more effective manner than trained professionals?
I think there is a fine line between a parent knowing their child best vs a medical professional 's expert advice.
When the parent refuses care or life saving care for a sick/ injured child, i would definitly document all that and get PD involved.
Not all show their scars on the ourside.

Aren't kids of today's era losing sense of responsiblity and respect?
Not any more so than any other generation.
I would say that, at many levels, most youth are more tolerant of people of different skin colors, race, origin, religious beleief, and orientation, especially compared to just a generation or two before them.
There is definitely a subculture to disrespect and anarchy/anti-establishment folks, but that is what it is: a sub culture.
I still see kids with manners and respectable lives.
Also, i think every generation has its group or phase where everyone wants to be a "rebel" or something like that.

Love comes from knowing someone enough to love even their faults.
Infatuation is kind of like puppy love or the way someone "ships" characters or has an "idol" they follow. Infatuation leans towards obsession on the scale of love.
Attraction is more of an instinctual thing. You dont really choose who you are attracted to. It just happens.
Love is deep, like the roots of a tree. It takes time to grow, but the more it grows, the harder it is to shake it. It does not involve constant obsession. It is a conscious choice. You choose who you love.
I will say that again.
You CHOOSE who you love.
It isnt an animal instinct to be be with a single partner or to devote yourself to one person. It also isnt an animal instinct to ignore personal survival for the sake of your partner.
Love is compromise. Love is effort. Love is more than mere attraction.
Even an asshole playboy or manipulative woman can be attractive, but the odds of actually loving them arent particularly high.
They can catch your eyes but arent able to keep your heart.

Grabbing wings from Buffalo Wild Wings cause ive got so much work and dont have time to cook tonight and have been stuck in traffic for almost two hours.

Now these are people that society pays big money to in order to see them perform in concert halls, on stage, and on the big screen and they were completely ignored due to their perceived social status and appearance.

Being a healthcare provider myself, i have seen incidences of unprofessional providers or provides who are not advocating for their pt or arent advocating enough.
As the medical professional we must not only strive to provide exceptional care, but alsp strongly advocate for the best care for our patients.
