Haha, thank you!! I’m really not sure what their problem was; the boss introduced us both, I smiled and said hi! (Maybe I was too enthusiastic?), she just stared back at me blankly and said nothing. They even made faces regarding things the boss was saying. It was so awkward 😂

Isolating myself in my room, or sleeping/taking a nap. I just try to keep myself to myself, really. I don’t always know how to cope. If it’s really bad, I may speak to my mum about it, too. :)

I always try to be! I think I am considerate though, as I automatically take people’s feelings into account, and am very empathetic. I just want to do right by people, y’know? To be kind and to make them smile, or feel good about themselves. If it happens then that’s great, but if not, I still feel like it was the right thing to do :)

I do! I have some permanently on my face and body, but I tend to pick up a lot of freckles across my cheekbones, nose and forehead in particular, before they settle into a tan :)

Gut instinct seldom gets it wrong, you just “know” something is off. Sometimes it’s just a hunch, others it’s picking up on the tone of their voice, body language, etc.

I’d be tempted to let it slide, as unpleasant and awkward as it may feel. If it happens on more than once occasion and it appears to have a genuine unpleasant undertone to it, then I might say something along the lines of asking if they had a problem with me, etc. I guess it’s weirder when it’s someone you don’t know!

They could just have really bad people skills. One of the baristas I met the other day was rather unfriendly, but it could be that they’re shy, for example. I guess it depends :)

Probably my hearing. Or possibly sight, I’ve been told on a couple of occasions that they’re both higher than average, which may explain why my sense of smell is absolutely terrible, to compensate 😅😂

Have you worked as a barista before? I worked as one and really enjoyed it! It could get a little stressful during busy periods though. My customers were mostly great, especially the regulars 🙂

I’ve only experienced two, but the first one I ever had was a real blow. They both were, but at least with the second one, I had initiated it primarily to look after my health, so while it hurt, knowing I was looking after myself and that it was the best choice for that moment in time, helped a lot. The first one I didn’t see coming, and that was a real sucker punch! I didn’t anticipate it feeling the way it did, so it was quite a shock in that sense, too. :)

I like the earthier, woodier scents, so notes such as sandalwood, patchouli, vetiver, etc. Lavender is also pretty calming to smell, as well as vanilla and softer floral scents! 🌲🌿🌸

There’s never an easy way to deal with it, but I’ve found that when I actively took myself out on ‘dates’, it was so therapeutic! Such as, exploring museums by myself, venturing around London, etc. It reignites how much I do truly enjoy my own company, and slowly, it helps rebuild my self confidence again. :)

It is! It’s only 16 degrees atm (it’s been at least another 10 during the day), but it’s insanely close and muggy right now! Thirty three degrees though, I don’t know how you’re coping with that! 🥴😅
