Do you think it’s a privilege or disadvantage to be a Christian in America?

Christians are privileged. Churches get away with abuse, financial scams, sex scandals, brainwashing, human trafficking, and are tax free, which all of us pay for. State legislators with extremist views pass laws which serve their beliefs and oppress others; violating the Constitution. I’ve been Christian all my life and I now identify as ex-vangelical because evangelicals are so politicized and prejudiced. Many of them have become the very people Jesus spoke against, and are being allowed to do harm in God’s name. It’s outrageous.

I try to avoid the word, tbh. It is overused and I was part of the problem overusing it growing up. In adulthood, I am less likely to view someone that way, but I don’t want that to offend anyone. It’s just not a word I’m comfortable with anymore.
