Between 500 and 5000 depending on my condition. It varies greatly.
Do you have a pet cat? If so, wanna share a picture of them? If you don't have a cat, would you ever consider getting one maybe?
I’m not allowed pets at this location. I would consider a cat if my circumstances were better.
I really like the quote: •"Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always."•
What are you going through? What battle are you fighting? Big or small- It all matters, and you'll get through it!💕🌼
Thanks Regina. I’ll get through it when I’m dead, but at least I won’t be sick and in pain anymore. In the meantime, I’ll try to keep breathing and not to be a terrible human.
Caring about the wrong people. Worrying over things I can’t change. Detecting certain people’s feelings. Laying the smack down online. Being shy and awkward in person. Writing and editing legal documents. Not getting nearly enough sleep. Staying alive in spite of myself.
“The only disability in life is a bad attitude.”I like Scott, but I hate this quote. He had a loving and well-off family who invested in the best possible medical care for his childhood illness, which was resolved. There are countless people in this world who are disabled permanently through no fault of their own, who have no cure, who can’t get better. Disrespecting this fact is ableist, and statements like that quote are harmful to people with valid disabilities who need understanding of their limitations and attention to survive and have some level of quality of life. People like me call condescending idealism like that “inspiration porn”. It’s trash, it makes me angry, and I’m allowed to be angry that my life was ruined by diseases I didn’t ask for. The end.
Yeah, it’s ok. Even the no salt added deli turkey is edible. I sometimes dip it in honey mustard, though. 😅 I also made refrigerator pickles and now my apartment smells like vinegar. 😑
Today was turkey day. Tired of seafood and wanted a break. Hopefully my stomach cooperates.People are probably aggravated about the new VIP challenge. I don’t even follow shoutouts, I have them disabled, so I only see questions that are directed to me specifically. It’s definitely a little quieter, but I’m still very far behind on answering. I deleted all repetitive questions so I can focus on the rest.
What advice would you give to someone who feels like they don't know how to make any friends?
Damn, I wish I knew, so I could take my own advice. It seems that the only way I’ve found is to look for organized groups or events that are shared interests. For example, a soccer fan club or a novel writer’s group or a character fandom. Sometimes it works out and you make friends. Sometimes it doesn’t because maybe they’re too aggressive or can’t get along or you simply don’t feel comfortable or connected. People are complicated. All we can do is make an effort to reach out, and see what happens.
If you were realistically gonna cook something to impress someone else, what'd you cook? 👩🍳
I would ask them what they would like me to cook, and probably cook that.If I’m cooking for myself for my birthday or other special occasion, it’s usually something like shrimp and grits, shrimp scampi, crab alfredo or shrimp and crab gumbo. Pescetarian Cajun Italian fusion seems to be my go-to.But what the eater likes matters.
Would you rather call yourself a landcrab 🦀 or a fish in the water? 🐟 How do you feel about being near / in the water? What about being underwater? 😶
Definitely a land crab. I live on a coastline but have to stay out of the water.
Have you ever paid someone to give you a massage?
Or maybe when you're walking through the malls & there's those people sitting on the ends on the hallways.
Have you ever stopped & paid them to give you a massage before?
Or maybe sat in their massage chairs?
(Keep this appropriate please)
Nah, I’m not into random people touching me. Maybe I’ll try a chair someday. I do own a seat cushion heat and massage thing that I happen to be leaning my back against as we speak.
i am so sorry about that...are you careful around water i hope?
Thank you. I am, yes. I don’t swim or get in boats. I do enjoy being near water (I live on a coastline) but have to keep a safe distance.
No. I have muscular dystrophy with catastrophic episodes of weakness and paralysis triggered by muscle activity. I’ve had episodes in a pool that could have ended me. It is not worth the risk.
