What is your favorite way to eat French Fries™?

First, you gotta separate your fries from your burger, make a clear line of demarcation across your plate. Then in the middle, squirt a nice load of ketchup right in the middle, kind of like a DMZ if you will. Then when you're ready for fries, you pick up like 5 or 6 and hold them all in a bunch, then mush them shits right into your load of ketchup, then haul that glory up to your mug without splooging ketchup refuse all on your chest or chin. God bless.
When I'm driving and reaching over to the passenger seat, because I'm always alone and never have someone sitting there, trying to wrestle my hand into the bag to grab a couple and stuff them into my mouth while trying to keep my eyes on the road. Then getting home and not having any left to eat.
Well, if I'm eating something like Popeye's or Arby's, I usually eat them plain just like that. Sometimes with a bit of ranch or ketchup. But if they're just plain potato fries, I like to dip them in spicy nacho cheese. It's so good.
This is probably going to sound weird, but tartar sauce is quite possibly the best thing I've ever eaten on french fries. That and vinegar. Lots of vinegar. Depends on the fry. Skinny little fuckers like McDonald's...BBQ, ranch, ketchup maybe mayo. Thick bitches like Red Robin? Sour cream! Although Red Robin specifically has a killer garlic aioli.
Lots of things are possible but usually I prefer mayo or ketchup. I prefer mayo with lemon, which they don't serve in most places in the Netherlands, so I'll often order ketchup. Patatje oorlog, with hot peanut sauce and mayo, can be fantastic, or terrible, depending on where you order it and is a typical Dutch thing. The Belgians have a bunch of awesome sauces to put on fries. I particularly like tartar sauce; which is like mayo, but even better when you're feeling in the mood.
In restaurants, they're usually served with salt, nothing else (unless you're in a McDonald's or something, where they will offer you ketchup or mayonnaise). When eating them at home (which rarely happens), my family will grind some pepper on them, as well.
I think nothing, ketchup and mayo are the most common here, too with some places having other sauces, too. But to be honest, we don't really eat fries outside fast food restaurants. I was very surprised how incredibly common fries are in the Netherlands (and people are still not fat).
When I was a kid we had the trend of putting mustard on it, at the time it tasted real good, but I hadn't have it in years.
I've been eating the tacos at brody almost every day for the past few weeks. If you like something, have access to it whenever you want, and know how your body reacts to it (in the short and long term), then what would stop you? It isnt weird. "Creatures of habit" yanno?
When I was a dumbass freshman I didn't take advantage of the wondrous Combo X-Change. I wish I had stayed a dumbass freshman because going to the big Sparty's in Hubbard to get a burger/chicken sandwich, fries, and a coke.

TNEF, hola. 🐾
Ten una Agradable tarde. 🍁

Do you like to eat tacos? If not, what about burritos or wraps in general? What do you prefer to have inside when you order / make them yourself at home? 🌮🌯

I usually eat wraps or burgers or shoarma on Saturday! I loveee wraps, I also made lots of wraps during my fitness time, they are so filling and healthy!
I like taco’s too, but I already always make a mess easily, let alone eating a dish that has a easily crumbly food container 😂
Never really had burritos, but in some way they’re the same as wraps, just folded differently. (Correct me if I’m wrong!!)

I'm going to a taco festival this weekend. Of course I like to eat tacos.
We make beef tacos at home.
I find some people compartmentalize tacos really badly (depending on culture I guess), because I see the "taco kits" with the typical seasonings in them. My favorite thing about tacos was being able to get out of this realm and be creative with what you put in tacos. My favorite taco I make myself, I batter and sear an entire brisket, then put it in the crock pot all day with some brown sugar and other good things, then I have sweet brisket tacos! I think the sheer versatility of the taco is its greatest attribute.
An American burrito is best enjoyed as a 2-meal dish. You eat ½ to ⅔ of the burrito fresh when you get it, and then wrap up what's left and "marinate the stump" in your fridge for later. This allows the flavors to blend in a new way, and will rock your world when you're drunk at 1 in the morning and remember that you've still got your stump!!
I like tacos because they are the simplest conveyance of delicious meats. You don’t need lots of bread. You don’t need lots of sauce. You just want a fresh tortilla and cilantro, onion, lime. I can eat tacos every day because they aren’t a lot of show. It’s just delicious meats.
That being said, I love the shit out of tacos and eat them as much and as often as I can. They are delicious when done right, and nothing beats some lengua and carne asada soft tacos with lime, salsa and chips. Every now and then throw in a bean plate or some quac to keep some variety, or anything else you can imagine. It’s the best lunch food in the world and the most nutritious, quick way to eat on a lunch break, I will die by tacos.
I make my own. I use a modified Al Pastor recipe I invented over the years. Cook Ground Turkey in orange juice, pineapple juice, garlic and a bit of salt. Pour a little bit of Melinda's Ghost Pepper Sauce into it when the ground turkey starts to brown (just a little, even a few drops adds ok spice.) Fry up some corn tortilla shells by bringing olive oil to heat in a small pan and placing a tortilla in it for about 20-30 seconds a side until it's the right consistency (your tastes may very.) When the turkey is completely browned, drain the pan so it's not too messy and squeeze a bit of lime juice over everything.
I've been to Mexico several times, was just there recently... all of those things are common and plentiful, other than hard-shell tacos. Those seem to be an American thing, I don't see that in Mexico, although I'm sure they exist. Tortillas are much more common. There's also more seafood involved than Americanized Mexican food.
Not Mexican but I live in Mexico, the short answer is yes. Mexican food is eaten here all the time, but it's a trillion times better than what you'll find in other countries. It's slightly different than commercialized Mexican food is in America. Generally Mexicans take great pride in their cuisine.

What's your favorite food?

I remember the first day I had a taco. I new the anatomy of a taco, and thought - "I've had these things separately before - surely it can't be that much better all together?" How wrong I was. The foodgasm I experienced will never be topped. Now you barely have to mention tacos around me and I'm a drooling, chaotic mess of the person I once was. I'll have to make tacos this weekend. You now have me longing for their corn wrapped spicy meaty flavour. For some reason tomato sauce on pasta seems to get thicker with more concentrated flavor as leftovers. I think it's because some of the water evaporates or is absorbed by the pasta but I'm not sure.
I love coleslaw too, vinegar or mayonnaise. My grandma makes it with bell pepper, but forgoes the poppy seed and instead uses celery seed. I've met one person in my life that eats vinegar slaw. It warmed my heart. I like Liver. Calf liver, preferably, lightly breaded and pan friend with onions and maybe even a cream gravy. Beef liver requires lots of tenderization.
Kinda similar, but one time I was hungover as fuck and my buddy served up French toast with bacon grilled into it. Powdered sugar and syrup on top and my perception of good breakfast changed forever.
Where do you live? Jersey mikes blows subway out of the water and it’s still a chain. I try to look for a good Italian deli. If you can’t find that, look for an independently owned shop that is popular. The biggest key, IMO, is to try what they are known for, even if it isn’t your taste. Modify only the slightest things if you need to and just take the leap of faith.
Dutch croquettes, I think it's because I have the strongest memory attached to this food, also they're so bad that they're basically heart attacks, probably why they taste so damn good, forbidden fruit situation.

Your favorite food? 🥘

Sandwiches... Absolutely love them. There are infinite combinations that can be combined. Even when someone else and I make the same sandwich with the same ingredients, they will taste different. Breakfast sandwiches, soup and sandwich, Sloppy Joes... you can make sandwiches for any meal. I truly believe its the perfect food. Tacos. Well, the ones I make aren't anywhere close to authentic tacos, so calling them tacos might be a stretch, I just put my favorite meats, vegetables and condiments in a tortilla. Can't go wring with a good wrap!
Hands down crawfish. I just wish I wasn't getting old and swelling up/getting mild gout when I feast on them. There's a place close to where I live that sells the best bought crawfish (I'm an ok cook, but I've got really good ones in the family) and I typically get 6-8 pounds after work. Being that they run about $6.50 a pound, I lose weight during crawfish season because I skip eating out/going to lunch in order to keep within my budget.
I had a milk man that came around the block, dropping off milk every couple days. One day I am playing outside and this guy walks by and says "Howdy partner, just here with your daily dose of milk." When I saw him drive away, I looked through the back of the van and saw some off colored milk. I asked him the next day what it was and he explained it to me that it was an odd request for a neighbor down the street. Now I have never seen this neighbor but he lived in a large house. The lights were always off and the windows were always closed. It seemed vacant. Too this day I do not know why this bothered me so much, Just a guy ordering strange milk, whats wrong with that. But curiosity got the best of me and I rang his doorbell the next day. The door creaked open but no-one was insight. I make my way to the kitchen and open the fridge. Bottles and bottles of milk. I opened one up and took a drink, this wasn't regular milk. It was cold, but fizzy, almost....carbonated. Before I had time to collect my thoughts i heard the door slam behind me. I dropped the empty bottle and ran outta there as fast as I could. I returned back to my house and waited. I asked some neighbors if they new about the guy the next day, however no one knew what I was talking about. I hopped on my bike and rode back to the guy's house but all I saw was an open field. It started to rain at this point but I pushed on to find something. It started raining hard and in the middle of the field I found an empty bottle. I tried finding the milk deliverer but the company did not seem to exist. Its been years, decades maybe, since the incident but I have always been fascinated by the carbonated milk. I've been living wealthy and have a large house but have spent many days alone with only the company of the neighborhood milkman to bring me my special order of Carbonated milk.

Me perturba, vaya.
JAJAJAJAJA

That's just your opinion. If Taco Bell actually stepped their game up, I think they'd be delicious! Whenever I'd get them, they'd be stale as heII.
I love the concept, but hate the execution of it. Like, walking tacos (aka taco salad made in a Doritos bag) are absolutely amazing. So I love the flavor combination. But a taco version of it from a fast food chain, it's just not very well put together..

Do you like spicy food? (not talking about a sniff of pepper or chili pepper, like actual hot food) 🌶🌶 / Vind je scherp/heet eten lekker?

LunarHuntress’s Profile PhotoYentl
For me, moderate spicy (by my standards) helps bring out the flavor in food, and gives it a fun little kick. My sense of taste is less than great after over a decade of smoking (has improved since I quit though), and spicy food added a flavor like element that cigarettes couldn't dull. I once worked for a guy who had no sense of smell or taste, and spicy foods were the closest he got to flavor. Greater levels of spicy are almost like a drug though. You get sweaty, your heartbeat goes up, your vision gets a little goofy, and it all feels fun. I still remember my first time where I overdid the hot sauce at a Chinese restaurant as an act of teenage bravado, and it just opened me up to really spicy foods. Been enjoying them for... holy shit that was nearly 20 years ago. I think that restaurant is still there, too. It reminds me a lot of my grandmother and my mom's cooking. When ever I eat something and make some of my mom's chile salsas to go along with my food, it feels like she's with me, as cheesy as it sounds. But honestly, it was hard not to love spicy and hot food. My mom who was born in Michoacan, Mexico always had a fresh chile sauce to go along with everything if the dish didn't already have some sort of spice inside it. Even when she made American dishes like spaghetti or mac and cheese, she would make an oil-based chile de arbol sauce and pour some on top before she served it. So for me, spicy food feeds me but also the soul. Sometimes it does burn though. I couldn't tell you how it started, maybe that my cousin and I would go to Taco Bell as kids and challenge each other to eat tacos with the most Hot sauces? (First hit's free, you know. And 7 is too many sauces for a regular hard shell taco, btw.) I remember being in middle school and some kids were looking for a victim, so they gave me a packet of the new Fire sauce to eat with my fries. It was the best sauce I'd had, and they were disappointed I wanted more. How did I start? I know the moment. I took at trip to England at 14. Long flight, tired and hungry. So we went to what I would now call a bodega run by what I suspect were Pakistanis. The small story had a small steam table and I ordered something or other. (I was in foreign climes, I wanted foreign stuff.) It was some meat and veggie and rice thing and it set my mouth on fire. And I was in love.
I've loved hot and spicy food for as long as I can remember, but it was only later in life that I came to suspect a root cause. Talking with other chileheads, I notice a frequent correlation (yes, not causation) between liking spicy food, and having a weak sense of smell. I can smell very strong odors, but not subtle ones. It's clear that my olfactory sense is far less sensitive than that of most people I know. Since smell plays a big part in perceiving taste, I suspect that I seek out spice because it registers strong flavors; something I otherwise don't get to experience very often.
