Is it EDS?
A fantastic question. I’m still pursuing EDS and autonomic nerve dysfunction, but so far the diagnoses are Primary Periodic Paralysis, Gastroparesis, Fibromyalgia, Migraines, CFS, and several sleep disorders. I do absolutely suspect EDS, as I have too many muscle strains and connective tissue injuries from doing almost nothing, and I hurt head to toe. I hope someday, I’ll find a doctor who is willing to pursue it.

When I trained to become a Certified Ross Instructor at the official Bob Ross Art Workshop, I taught a painting demonstration on Bob’s original easel. THE famous 36-pound metal hunk of junk easel that he used on his show.

That’s a concerning phrase, since refinement is the cultivation of something followed by the cleansing of impurities. It sounds a little like fascism.

Someone told me he has a girlfriend, and described her not realizing I knew who he was talking about. She confirmed that she is not, in fact, his girlfriend. 😅 No biggie, as I don’t care one way or the other.

Getting in trouble with an entire class even though I was uninvolved. That always upset me because it seemed so unfair (still does).

Naomi Anderson. She was terrifying, but saw how much I was bullied and was always nicer to me than she was to others. She used to read my stories to the class and encourage me to keep writing.

How do you know if a person is good or bad within a few minutes in the first meeting?
Sometimes you don’t, and you have to get to know them better. Sometimes, their mouth gives it away pretty quickly. Depends on the person.

Which was the moment when you felt really proud about yourself?
I won a silver medal in the U.S. Skills Olympics at age 16. I had to present the manual commercial printing process from beginning (layout, design, darkroom, platemaking) to end (printing the final work on a printing press, taking the press apart and cleaning all the parts, and putting it back together). I’m not a competitive person and was physically ill from the stress of it all, but pushed through and did such a great job, the judges begged me to consider making it my career.
(And I did it all in a short skirt. Ha.)
