It most definitely is a political thing. This is what happens when the economy is valued over human life. You don’t need to make it political because it won’t affect you like it will/does/has affected the vulnerable. You will be ok regardless. Sept could have been the end of it if action was taken

I will be okay regardless? Cool. I mean, my wage is propping up a family of four now but okay.

Lol. Everyone thought it would be over by now? Really? More like just keep the economy open only a few old ppl will die and they were going to anyway, guvner! Noone with any intelligence who looked at what was happening around the world thought it would be over by now.

I was in meetings where we were being told to plan for September 2020 as the end of it by government officials.
This isn't a political thing and I absolutely refuse to make it so.

No, the government should be supporting them not just their rich mates. This is why we pay taxes. The sooner covid19 is brought under control the sooner we can go back to a sort of normal but they’ve totally mishandled it causing even more damage to people and the economy.

No, we pay taxes for normal situations. Cornoavirus is a pandemic.
They've totally mishandled it, yes. But everyone thought it would be over by now, everyone thought it would be under control. But now people are losing jobs and houses and I would love to know what your suggestions are from here? Have you seen the national debt at the moment? We need to get the numbers down, and the longer everyone stands around arguing about it the worst/madder it gets.
I have been in meetings every single week with the health ministers, dude. I'm not uneducated, I'm more clued in than you because that is my job. They don't know what to do. That is the message that I am hearing time and time again.
And that's scary. So can we quit arguing? And start trying to put some good into an increasingly desperate world?

Exactly. You implied the economy suffering is worse or on par with people dying? Like “oh lockdown brings numbers down but THE ECONOMY” So? Fuk the economy atm. Do you think an overwhelmed health system is good at all?

Suicide has hit a two decade high, dude. My dad is now redundant and stranded abroad, my stepdad is redundant, I only have a job excuse I work for the government.
Meanwhile, the furlough scheme has been extended until December. So bully for everyone except the self-employed. Fuck them, right?

Do u have a favorite tendon?

It is 670049% not an Achilles. Have you seen what happens when you snap one of those bad boys? Tearing one is bad enough, but when you snap one and it ricochets up from your ankle to the back of your knee? That's an ew, my dude. That's an ew.

Do you hate the lockdown?

I hate the lack of direction. I've been goal driven my entire professional life (starting at 14) so to have no idea what will happen the next week is throwing me for a loop.
That being said, I had Covid back in March and I was seriously ill. I'm a really healthy 24 year old and it still took me 10 weeks to recover. I hate to think of my grandparents catching it, my elderly friends. On top of that, I work for a government body and everything that we do has to be by the book. I know that book inside out, and it isn't pretty, dude.
So I don't think it's being handled ideally, but it's a Catch-22, isn't it? Governments see numbers rising and have to do something. Lockdown does bring the numbers down, but it does awful thing to the economy.

have you been to the dentist since lockdown (March)?

Nope, haven't even managed to get a physio appointment! And I go to both the physio and dentist privately, rather than on the NHS 🤷‍♀️ (Dentist is because I paid a tonne for orthodontic treatment when the NHS wouldn't do it, physio is work before anyone @'s me.)
I did, however, manage to get my eyebrows done in July - so the beauty industry is far ahead of the health industry 😂

You are, without question, the most intelligent person I have found on Ask. Sorry, no medal or certificate but kudos if you have received none recently. I'm Jon btw, here since 2014, y!a and Formspring prior. Carry on 👍

Oh my god, this just made my whole week. I mean, I'm very sorry to have mislead you because I'm by no means above-average, but that's so kind. I hope you're having a superb weekend, Jon ☺

How often do you get bored?

Every few minutes/hours. I'm ADHD so staying busy is a huge part of managing that for me. I don't tend to have downtime because I will have no idea how to enjoy it and panic 😂😂

What is your natural eye color is??

Kind of bluey greeny grey with brown around the iris? I missed the pretty eyes in my family! Both my mum and brother have these icy blue eyes and I love them so much!
