Which activities or hobbies make you lose track of time?

I'm one of those ADHD brats who leap madly from one thing to another, irritating everyone in the process. So getting really into anything has always been a bit of a myth for me.
But just to give way to hypocrisy, there's running, there's badminton, there's sailing - anything that demands my attention and keeps changing. Playing music is another. My dogs are idiots that constantly need keeping an eye on - the amount of times I say "what are you EATING" every day is ridiculous. But watching films and reading are exhausting, I've always been a little awestruck by those who can lose themselves in a tv show or a novel.

You're lying. I know you're fake. Your real name isn't Tasha and you're not a student. Your actual name is Tswizle (bc taylor already took tswizzle). Your partner bee-phatass-bumble, helps you roam the streets of London and teach Zumba to kids who come from low income families.

Holy smokes, I've been caught! Damn you, you've Jimmy-Jacked the whole operation!

So since my most recent anon has temporarily prevented me from answering questions (lol), I figure I'll go ahead and ask everyone a few; 👻 1) Does your wardrobe have a general "theme" or color palette? How would you describe your taste in clothing?

I live up a Welsh mountain, so whilst my heart says "cut off shorts, loose tank tops and long necklaces" my wardrobe says "jeans and thick jumpers because it's July and winter is coming."
It's also made up of so, so much sports kit. It's obscene.

I am eating a peperoni pizza right now, what are you doing?

I'm half writing a letter of recommendation for one of my juniors who is going after a sports ambassadorship through their school, half freezing my feet off because I'm too lazy to find socks, half enjoying a glass of Prosecco which is the only thing getting me through the forms for this recommendation-thing, and completely failing at maths.

what's your morning routine?

• Wake up at 6.
• Die.
• Wake up at 6.30.
• Be a little bit more determined about it.
• UP. I NEED TO GET UP. STUFF. STUFF TO DO.
• Boil kettle.
• Get dressed. Kinda.
• Pour tea. Tends to be peppermint. Got banned from caffeine.
• Go running with dog that is just as sleepy.
• Get run over by the neighbour's builders at least four times in ten minutes.
• Watch the sun come up from on top of a motherfucking mountain aw yissssssss.
• Home just as tea reaches that nicely brewed stage at the perfect temperature.
• How is it 8 already?!
• Outdoors animals eat before me.
• Breakfast with about 4296 cereal puns.
• I'M LATE NO SHIT WHAT AGAIN
• Work/Training/Coaching by 8.30.
That's if it isn't a tournament or a plane-to-catch kinda day. Those are the /worst/.

What makes you angry?

cryxstalx’s Profile PhotoCeleste.
• Pretentious assholes who go around correcting others spelling and grammar. You aren't making yourself look clever. You look like a twit.
• Anyone who so much as looks at an animal the wrong way. And if it's one of my animals then God help you.
• Anyone who thinks they're entitled. To attention, to money, to success - Sit down and work for it like everyone else.
• Violence. Any advocation of heartlessness. Except that's not so much angry, it makes me sick. It makes me sad and tired.
• Greed. It's at the base of every war, it's at the base of every guy who leaves hand marks on a too-young-girl's thighs. It turns perfectly civilised individuals into narcissistic shits.

Where do you personally draw the line between "catcalls" and "compliments"?

AmericanLass’s Profile PhotoC.
I live in a really small town these days, so catcalling is incredibly rare. (Mostly because you probably know their mother, certainly know their old teachers and I've generally got a connection with them through coaching kids. You don't catcall your niece's coach. You just don't around here.)
But when I'm staying elsewhere and go running, then there are occasionally catcalls. The line is that I feel violated. Compliments are respectful, and come from some basis of kindness. "Nice ass!" does not make me feel respected. It pisses me off.

What was the first thing that made you realize you were getting older?

The birthday parties were a give away. Likewise, the fact that I suddenly wasn't allowed on the "six and under" playground.
I was a small seven year old, okay. The injustice was unreal.

If you woke up one morning and found that you were unable to feel a particular emotion, which emotion would you prefer it to be?

Self-pity.
I don't mind being sad or furious. Those are solid emotions, and I can learn from them. I hate self-pity, in myself and in others. It brings absolutely no positivity and it sucks and we're all too fucking lucky to sit around crying for ourselves.

Do you feel inferior to girls taller than you?

I'm 5"7 and live in rural Mid-Wales - there aren't many girls taller than me around here. Or guys, really.
But no, basing your self worth on height seems like a peculiar concept. Taller girls are really useful because they can get me things off of shelves.

TW: self-harm. Do you have any scars or bruises on your body? Would you mind saying how you got them? (Ignore this question if it makes you feel uncomfortable)

dederocco’s Profile Photoremedial melancholia
I was going to draw a little diagram with colours and cool little arrows but it turned out that that was a lot of effort. And it's Friday. It's just not fair.
I have a scar on my cheek from trying to do a cartwheel over a sandpit when I was about six. Didn't work. Bled all over the photocopier whilst the office called my mum.
I have a scar on my lip from head diving off of a tree stump and knocking out a big tooth. Bit of a scar on my temple from that as well, but it's pretty hidden.
I have a couple of scars on my upper arms from being a cool kid, and a couple of scars on my lower arms from being jabbed with needles. By professional druggies with PHDs, I don't think they owned a hoodie between them.
I have scars from a couple of ops on my Achilles, a bunch of scars on my knees from running down hill too fast and attacking the ground with them. Couple of capsizes and cutting my legs on the dagger board. A scar shaped like Ireland from trying to rugby-tackle my 6"2-and-twice-as-heavy boyfriend. I smacked into his watch, which was apparently less breakable than me. So kudos to Tag Heuer.
And right now I have six bruises. I just poked them for you, and five of them hurt. One might just be dirt. Another is a long, straight line across the back of my calf so I think it's from where I hit myself on the follow-through from a smash about a week ago? Idk man, I'm accident prone.

http://ask.fm/conjectures/answer/131241286103 ~ This is making rounds again. Feel free to answer the questions but you don't have to. You also don't have to post your own questions if you don't want. All up to you 💗

Thanks, lovely!!!
Rule 1: Always post the rules.
Rule 2: Answer the questions the person that tagged you asked, then write 11 new ones.
Rule 3: Tag 11 people, then link them in the post.
Rule 4: Tell them you tagged them.
1. What are a few words you find absolutely stunning in the English language and why?
Petrichor, discombobulated, sincerity, glee, mellifluous, tanzanite, incandescent, haemoglobin. I don't know why - I just love them.
2. How many people would you say you trust? What does it take for you to trust someone?
I could probably count them on both hands, and to trust with anything would be four people. Time, and a level of honesty that goes beyond the usual pleasantries. I get an A* at being nice at a distance and hard-work up close.
3. Are there any smells that make you feel nostalgic? If so, what are they?
The cold, musty smell of my cellar in the alps. Barbecue smoke reminds me of so many fires and barbecues at my sailing club. Wet neoprene reminds me of yachting and leaping out of dinghies and racing.
4. If you could be any mystical creature, what would it be and why?
Dragon. I can't whistle, so breathing fire would make up for it. Also, national emblem.
5. What makes you weak in the knees?
When my pets are unexpectedly adorable, when small children are unexpectedly adorable, when v tall dark haired/eyed guys buy me chai lattes when I'm revising, when I realise how fucking huge the world is, kindnesses given for the sake of kindnesses given.
6. When was the last time you were genuinely happy? Why were you? Tell me about it.
I went down to the National Botanical Gardens with my Mum today, and it was just so nice to chill out and chat with her. We get so excited about plants, it was just great to regroup. I get really busy and she gets really busy, so we've barely seen each other.
7. Is there a book or movie you wish there was a sequel to?
I've wanted another Paper Towns for two years, Man From U.N.C.LE (I swear I'll shut up about it soon.)
8. What are five songs that no matter when they're played you instantly find the urge to dance?
Shut Up And Dance With Me, Sober, Don't Stop Me Now, We Are Golden, Sugar We're Going Down.
9. Do you have any hidden talents no one knows about that you're willing to unveil? What are they?
I think I brought up that I'm good with engines the other day, and I believe in recycling, so ;)
10. What's your zodiac? Do you believe in horoscopes? Why / why not?
Cancer, and nah. I believe that we make our own fate.
11. Do you want anymore tattoos or piercings if you have / don't have any? What are some of your ideas?
I like tattoos on other people, but I don't have the attention span for actually getting one myself. And my family would write me out of the will. I tossed around the idea of getting the fam-bam motto, but even that wouldn't save my inheritance. I'm pretty happy piercing-wise, so nope. I'm good:)

I'm sure you've answered this before, but how many animals do you have?

I tagged you in this: http://ask.fm/amongol/answer/130943692788 :) Also, couldn't post the rules because I talked about myself too much, soz.

Hi Grace, hey, hi! ♥
1. Have your opinions on controversial issues (religion, abortion, immigration, sexuality etc) changed in the past 5 years? If so, how?
I think I'm more open minded (hahahaIhopeso). I was pretty anti-religion five years ago, but I've met people and read things and yup. Six of one, half a dozen of another. But I was pretty opinionated about sexuality and abortion at 14, so I've climbed off of my soap box. Live and let live, yo.
2. Name a song and tell me what it means to you, or tell me who it reminds you of.
We were sharing an 8-court hall in Italy with the Spanish squad, and it was dead quiet because everyone knew that we were training to beat each others asses. So everyone was downplaying and not making eye contact and it was the worst idea that our coach had ever had. But then we put music on for routine work, It turned out that everyone knew the words to Fat Bottomed Girls. Everyone.
3. Have you experienced the "best day of your life" yet?
I really hope not, because what a bummer.
4. When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Physiotherapist, vet, ballet dancer, vet, pirate, lawyer, vet, physio, writer, physio, physio, oceanographer, physio, vet, animal physio, physio.
5. Do you believe in astrology?
Nah, but I love the tumblr horoscopes. The last one I read said that my Dad joke was "Want to hear a joke about paper? Never mind, it's tearable." So I'm 100% behind them.
6. Does history interest you? If so, are you more interested in ancient or modern history? Which events interest you the most?
Kiiiiind of. I like stories. I love old houses. I'm not enamoured with Tudors, Vikings, Whichever War, Egyptians or what have you. I doodle.
7. Do you love or hate coriander?
Unlike marmite, I'm pretty indifferent towards coriander.
8. Does genealogy interest you? How much do you know about your family?
I know a shit-tonne about my mum's side of the family going back until the 1700s-ish, because we're descended from dudes who were kinda affluent and people wrote books about them so I don't have to. I know nothing bout Dad's side, but we all disowned each other so I'm pretty chill with it. It really does interest me - There's a family bible from the 1790s and some guy called John had written in the front "John's book" and someone had written "This book is not John's" just underneath. Bickering goes way back, apparently.

9. How did you celebrate your last birthday?
I was playing a tournament, but I went out with some friends for a drink in the evening and hung out at the beach. It was nice and lowkey :)
10. Do you have any irrational fears? What are they?
That smell of antiseptic that goes with hospitals and being sick.
11. Do you think it's possible to live a life free of regret?
I hope so.
