Behind those best selling motivational speakers are sad little people who never became anything themselves. Why can't they read their own books and start their own start-ups, earn millions and run countries?
My parents used to point at a neighbor who got more marks than me. I asked them to let him go through everything I've went through and then get the same results.
We all have different inputs, how can we compare the outputs then? We all have different questions, how can our answers be the same then?

➀ – caregiver/nurse/doctor | because in Germany they don't give enough money and too much of pressure and personal time flows into that job without the right payment and days of vacation. They still risk their lives every day currently - and that's not okay.
➁ – trash collector | obviously because of the smell but they receive good money for that
➂ – media designers & people who work in the creative sector without having studied what they work are treated like personal slaves in Germany. They do creative work as they would work in a company with mass production. They have bosses who constantly remind them that everyone could do what they do and put them down as if what they have learned meant nothing and they could be replaced in a heartbeat. I pity everyone in Germany working as media designers.

J'ai un faible pour les sites web plutôt que les blogs pour commencer. J'ai plus de plaisir à parcourir un Wix que de passer 10h à parcourir les 24 pages de personnages d'un blog à la chaine.

Une jolie mise en page épurée et claire (ou qui reflète à fond le rôliste derrière ça va aussi). J'aime bien quand on sent la patte de la personne qui l'a faite mais c'est pas obligatoirement ça qui va m' "attirer". J'aime bien quand on voit que la personne a mis du coeur à l'ouvrage, c'est clair. Et je ne parle pas forcément en terme de "mise en page" mais au niveau de la construction du personnage qui transparait derrière les informations communiquées. Je préfère limite quand le perso est plus travaillé que la page mais ça c'est moi... XD Ce ne veut pas dire que je n'apprécie pas un travail de mise en page recherché pour autant, hein ! Mais il faut un certain équilibre. C'est dommage de tout donner sur la présentation pour des perso qui une fois en jeu ne sont pas super aboutit ou dont les informations sont mal retransmises. C'est comme se donner à fond sur l'emballage d'un cadeau pour un contenu bof. Et entre nous, c'est pas parce que vous emballez de feuille d'or un kleenex usagé que l'objet deviendra précieux. [-40 pts de style pour la métaphore naze de Blue].

Je n'attends pas des rôlistes d'être de grand designers d'ailleurs, s'ils savent transmettre une donnée/information clairement par le biais de leur site, c'est déjà bien et bon signe pour faire pareil en jeu ensuite XD

Je crois que les site qui misent tout sur l'apparence c'est peut-être super cool à parcourir (on ne déprécie jamais les gens qui se cassent le cul non d'une pipe ! C'est déjà bien assez de boulot de prendre ce temps !) mais je veux que l'amour et le soin dispensé à la créations de leur perso soit au moins équivalent et s'en ressente s'ils font ça. Et qu'il n'y ait pas que des images mais aussi un peu d'informations de base pour se faire une idée. J'aime quand il y a une bonne balance entre textes et visuels.

Parce que c'est bien de se donner à donf sur la présentation d'un univers mais quand le traitement des perso s'en tiens à nom + une image + 4 mots et une orientation sexuelle et que la place donné à un perso représente le 2% d'un site, c'est trop dommage.

En sommes, je suis attiré par les pages qui donnent la part belle à leur perso et n'abusent pas trop de la poudre de perlimpinpin pour les enrober ;)

Et en dehors de la partie "page de joueurs" la chose qui m'attire le plus en dehors des choses évoquées c'est de tomber sur des valeurs communes avec un rôliste en face. Ca m'attire indépendamment de tout le reste mais souvent le reste va de pair ensuite donc bon. <3

Good question. In the future could a robot be creative?
I suppose the answer requires qualification. How creative? What kind of graphic design? We should also define what we will call creative robots that do graphic design.
Myself, I would like to think of robots as actual tools much like a computer now is a tool. We did have graphic designers before computers that used their hands to be creative. Now - a - days they mostly use computers to complete their work.
With robotic computers I would simply associate automation and some physical component to the work. Printers including 3d printers might be good example. How creative our robot could be really would depend on its programming. With the advances of AI there may be some scope for the imagination.
Being as creative as a good artist may be yet, far off into the future. Will an artist be able to program his or her robotic tool to emulate their creativity?
How our brains work when we are creative is beyond my pay grade (no one is paying me to write here so it is quite low) but perhaps the brain does use a process of randomizing designs to come up with a good creation. It is a process.
It might be possible if robots do get developed in the future they first will be the tools that artists use. In short our robot will be creating and interacting with the artist…”how is this”…“does this look right?”The artist on the other hand will be instructing their creative tool…“show me a dog in an outdoor scene”…”no, no that kind of dog another breed”. Anything that can be done once can be duplicated and be applied as a duplication with variation. Is this what creativity is? The question remains though just how creatively pleasing will be the result? Well that really depends on the expectation we have for our robot. I've worked with AI and neural nets and the like. It's good for certain things and not very good at others. I went through a spate of using AI to create music based on set inputs. Most of it was awful and I found it took a human ear to determine when it did something good (which was about 2% of the time). The trick would be making the AI recognise what humans would like. Even then, it would be like muzak rather than advancing what music. I suspect that same would be true of the visual arts too. Right now we can't but given time I'm sure that we will. Most manual jobs will be done by machines in the near future and then all the creative things will follow.

Pour moi le mélange et "l'appropriation culturelle" permet un partage et la mise en vu de ces mêmes cultures, la popularisation de celles ci et le métissage est à mon sens un moyen de "banalisation", dans le sens où il permet de réduire le racisme, plus on se mélange, plus les coutumes des uns et des autres deviennent communes et connues, les Hommes ont tendance à avoir peur et rejettent ce qu'ils ne connaissent pas, si chacun partage un bout de son monde alors ils peuvent tous trouver un croisement entre ceux ci et cohabiter sans jugement, ou autre absurdités. En revanche, que les marques de luxe s'approprient sans consentement ni contribution sur les gains à venir aux cultures utilisées je trouve cela horrible, mais quand cela se deroule comme la marque Hermès en 2011 qui avait lancée une ligne de Saris indien elle avait une collaboration avec des designers Indiens locaux qui ont recçu une retribution financiere et une visibilité, ce qui profite aux deux parties. Après il y a des choses inacceptables de tout les côtés, que ce soit cette polémique ridicule accusant Kylie Jenner d'appropriation et de viol culturelle parce qu'elle porte des tresses africaines sans avoir subit les souffrances de cette même culture, ou bien quand des femmes de couleur portent des locks et sont catégorisées comme sales alors que sur des mannequins à peaux claires sur les podiums ça devient tout de suite élégant là je ne cautionne pas, et je trouve ça pathétique.

En soit j'estime qu'il y un équilibre à trouver, je ne rentrerai pas dans ce débat qui oppose inspiration et appropriation. Je pense que le partage et le métissage restent importants, et qu'il efface cette étiquette de population/culture "dominante" ou "dominée". Je ne renie pas la souffrances de celles-ci (colonisation etc), mais il faut passer le cap pour accéder à cette égalité que tout le monde prône.

There are numerous websites available out there like Upwork, Toptal, Freelancer etc. You can figure out which works best for you. Coming back to the competition thing, Healthy and positive competition must be everywhere and it makes you grow. There is another platform available named as Dribble, It is specially designed for graphic Designers. It actually is a market place where all the designers share their work. If people like your work, They hire you for a project. I also work as a freelancer but i DO NOT have an account on any freelancing website. Still I have more reach than verified freelancers. This is made possible cuz i own a youtube channel, Write blogs and redirect all of my audience towards my Dribble :) Since I'm a coder more than a designer, I'm less involved in designing projects. If you ever happen to visit dribble, Make sure to check the top trending Pakistani designer "Zulal Ahmed" He is my neighbor and a very good friend of mine. If the UI behaves inconsistently I think you could say the game is at fault in those cases. For example if it normally takes 4 frames to scroll to the next option but it suddenly lags and takes 8 instead then maybe one of the player's inputs doesn't count and they end up preemptively selecting the wrong menu item.

For the most part I think the kind of challenge you're referring to would still fall under memorisation and dexterity. Maybe you could say that all UI "challenges" count as memorisation since they're not dynamic in the way we typically think of gameplay. Even for something like Dwarf Fortress, there's a lot to learn but presumably some players know it like the back of their hand. At that point the UI stops being an obstacle and becomes purely a tool for interaction with the "real" game lying underneath. I think most good UI designers want that learning period to be as short as possible but maybe a good game could be made by intentionally going the opposite direction.

No worries! Hmm, fish and chips... the best places for that unfortunately are usually by the seaside, but I’m sure there are restaurants that would be suitable! Sorry I can’t suggest anything there, googling it and checking out reviews may be your best bet.

As for parks, the Royal ones are really nice, particularly Hyde Park, St. James’, Green Park, Kensington Garden’s (very beautiful), Greenwich Park is great if you wish to see the old Naval Colleges which are beautiful. Very 18th century. Richmond Park, I’ve never been there, but wild deer and stags are often found there and it looks beautiful in pictures! So highly recommend that if you’re into animals. Primrose Hill is also very nice looking, but I’ve never been there yet.

Shopping; Oxford Street and Regent St are your best bets for high street shops and fashion, bonus being that they’re connected. There are large shopping centres such as Westfield which is in Stratford, I believe? Never been there so I can’t comment on it. If you’re looking for more designer items, then Bond St and New Bond St are full of designers from Chanel to Alexander McQueen. Kensington and Mayfair are also very high end areas, with shops such as Harrods, or Liberty which is a Tudor style (?) high end shop, which is near Regent St.

Christmas market wise, Covent Garden is definitely the place to check out. They have really nice eating areas, live music and the area which I work in, has really unique arty stalls with handmade jewellery and clocks to unusual clothing. It’s worth checking out. As for other markets, I don’t know off the top of my head! May have to google that.

I was playing Katamari Damacy a while back and as much as I like it, I think I'd have to say that it's too long for its own good. It feels a little padded but it's hard to blame the designers for that, they had to make it that way or the game simply wouldn't have been published.

The problem was that games used to only come on cartridges or discs which incurs a lot of overhead. You have to produce tons of physical units which are then shipped all over the world to stores who also take a large cut. Publishers had to charge a certain amount for the game in order to break even so the game had to provide a certain amount of value to the player. If you paid $60 for Katamari Damacy and it only lasted an hour you'd probably (rightly) feel ripped off.

Thanks to digital distribution, developers can now make shorter games and sell them cheaper instead. If you paid $5-10 for an hour long game you might be pretty happy with your purchase. Especially if it's something like Katamari Damacy which is fun to just boot up from time to time.

Personally I think that films are standardised in length not because that's always the best way to tell their stories but because they have the problem that games used to have. They get shipped out to a bunch of cinemas who also want to take their cut, there's a lot of overhead. Cinemas then charge a premium price so people expect to get a certain amount of bang for their buck. On the other hand they also don't want to be trapped in a cinema for five hours so there's a maximum cap on things as well. Cinemas seem to be dying out so perhaps this will change in future as digital services take more market share.

As things are now, the current setup for games is a lot more versatile, giving developers more ways to entertain us.

I'd also like to point out that this is a good example of the dangers of comparing other mediums to games. Films have been around longer so because they have a standard length the temptation is to think that they've figured out something game developers haven't yet. Don't get me wrong, the occasional analogy to other media can be helpful but in this case I think it's games that are actually ahead of the curve.

You are correct. I do think that the designers and artists all of the people who poured tons of work into the raid should be really proud of how it turned out.

What I meant by that comment was that I think if the higher ups at Bungie/Acti could get away with not having a raid in the game, that they would get rid of it. I'm sure the raid takes up a LOT of resources for something that not a lot of people are going to see and they would probably rather have those people work on things that more people are going to see. That comment was not meant to devalue the work of the raids we've gotten to see and I apologize if it came off that way.

RPG elements have cropped up in a lot of games and I would like to see less of it. I've talked about this before so I won't get into it too much but basically I think developers are using it as a crutch. Idle clicker type games are strong evidence that people just like seeing numbers go up, there's something satisfying about it for a huge number of people, so much so that you can create extremely stripped down "games" and people still play it because the numbers get bigger. Tapping into that part of our psyche is a way developers can keep us playing even when the game itself isn't fun.

Thankfully this has long since stopped working on me, the RPG bullshit is basically invisible to me now, but I still tend to avoid games that resort to that anyway because I don't respect it. To me it more or less says that the designers don't have enough confidence in their game to let it stand on its own two feet.
