I’m glad he’s dead. His body should have been burned and his ashes thrown in a dumpster, where he belongs. A monster like that should have never been born. Thanks for the reminder that I am a good and worthy human being who deserves to live, unlike him.

What lies do you most often tell yourself?
I don’t really do that, in my opinion. Others may disagree, especially if they don’t understand PTSD. I’m aware of my thought spirals. I just have to find cognitive grounding, remind myself that I’m safe, and wait for the episodes to pass. It’s unfortunately a lot harder than it sounds.

What did she say?
She said on a talk show that you have to be sexually satisfied to be an effective parent. It was enraging. I recognized the quote as garbage taught by extremist evangelicals to couples groups. I attended a retreat many years ago that forcefed women these terrible ideals in hopes of shaming them into submission. In the same lesson, we were told satisfying men sexually was God’s command and if we’re not doing it, we’re not worshipping God.
Pure brainwashed trash. In my abstinent youth as a Nanny, I was a better parent to several children than their idiot parents were. A real parent, a decent one, does their job well no matter what their sex life is or isn’t. It disgusted me. Instant cancellation of Kelly Clarkson.

Not good at it. I used to run an arcade and I still wasn’t good at it.
