I’m having kidney pain, so at the moment, I’m trying not to panic over the possibility of an obstructive stone.

Neither. Some things in life are completely senseless, and I recognize those things as such.

How was your first love? ?
It was turbulent, painful, and quite frankly stupid. I was a church puppet. I had no common sense and no will to stand up for myself. I was conditioned to be submissive, codependent, and gracious to any man who gave me attention. I was a doormat, and almost nothing like the feisty, independent person I am today. I have some issues to work through still after all of these years, but the important thing is that I’m much smarter and safer now. Live and learn.

My boyfriend depression is really starting to get to him. It's getting to the point I'm getting scared. He hasn't ate in three days. he's been just laying in bed and watching Netflix. It has not been this bad. He's missing his mom, plus he's grandma is in ICU. How can I get him to talk about it?
That is concerning. Tell him what you’re observing, that you’re happy to listen without judgment, and ask what you can do to help. But, first and foremost, make your own safety a priority and maintain boundaries. I don’t know your boyfriend or you, so it’s impossible to know exactly how to assess the atmosphere. Depression comes and goes in waves. Sometimes, the best thing to do is ride it out and know there will be better days. But if it were me, I would tell him I’m concerned and there to listen without judgment, and see if he will respond. Good luck.
