which college are you at again? and I feel, senior year has been super stressful and i'm ready to be graduated. it's been a pretty good year so far, but I've been so busy and college apps are stressing me out because I have no idea where i'm gonna go/what i'm gonna do still haha it's awesome!!!11!1

empathy is about a girl named falon who works for an agency called lytoral. this agency tests on people, gives them special abilities, and then uses them as employees for all kinds of different jobs. falon is a receiver, which means she has the ability to go into people's minds and see memories. receivers are used for interrogation purposes--they retrieve and interrogate those suspected of working against the agency.
falon has been interrogating a guy named trace for two weeks with no real results. she knows that his girlfriend is working against lytoral, but without proof she can't report her. however, falon finally gets the memory she's looking for: trace and cade participating in an anti-lytoral activity. she now has a reason to bring cade in.
falon is assigned to go retrieve cade and bring her in for questioning. so she and her safeguards (just another term for bodyguards; every lytoral worker has at least one safeguard), pochi and lea, head over to cade's house. after a short physical altercation, falon wins the upper hand.
however, when she tries to receive from cade, she finds that she can't. she loses consciousness, and when she wakes up, she is stuck inside of cade's body. pochi and lea are enraged because they believe cade killed falon, and they don't believe her when she tells them it's her. so she's left with no choice but to knock them out and flee the scene.
so now falon is on the run from lytoral (and her best friends) and has to work with the same rebels she's been trying to have killed in order to get herself out of cade's body and back into her own (:
