how do you take notes for your story or how do you plan it out? I need some help on how to start a story idea that I have.

well lately I've been using Scrivener, this AMAZING story planning program. it's not free, but it's SO WORTH IT.
anyway, before that I wrote out events in notebooks or made powerpoints with stuff I wanted to happen down. you could even just write out what you want in a word doc.
I usually start out with listing the characters, and then I write out what I want to happen in the beginning
here's a basic outline my teacher in my class gave me:
Stasis (introduction basically):
Trigger:
The Quest:
Surprise!:
Critical Choice:
Climax:
Reversal:
Conclusion

Why was it the best summer?

I just had so much fun c: it was the first summer in a long time where I actually DID stuff.
I went on a trip to Europe with my school and got to meet a wattpad friend for reals c:
I took a college class (camp sort of thing) for creative writing and made some new friends.
The Mortal Instruments went into theaters and you have NO idea how stoked I was for that o:
It was just really, really fun <3
