I'm new to Wattpad and when I write a story and post it. I feel good but, then when it comes to writing another chapter I feel like it takes forever. I always have to correct EVERYTHING! It's annoying ( which is funny because it's something I do) Advice?
Well, I try not to edit too much before posting. I may read over it a couple times, but that's about it. I look at it this way: this is my first draft, and there are going to be major things I'm going to have to fix anyway--concentrating on the typos will probably end up being pointless. So I just write, read it once, twice, maybe three times depending on how crappy I'm feeling about it (usually I'm not looking for typos when reading; I'm concentrating on the flow, the characters, etc). And then I post and move on.
As for advice, I don't really know. We all have different methods of going about things. I guess maybe shove the inner critic aside and just write your heart out? I know it's hard, but keep in mind that it's the first draft and that it's not going to be perfect.
I'm sorry I wasn't much help!
