okay let's see! :D sorry if my tips aren't that great. I'm not exactly the best advice giver o:

1. Do not rush. If you rush through your story, you're going to leave out important information, and your plot will not be as believable.

2. Don't drag. This is pretty much the opposite of rushing. Don't go so slow that people get bored.

3. Make every chapter matter. It took me some time for me to really get this one, and I'm sure I still need practice on it, but every chapter should get you ahead in the story. Every scene, really. Don't put in a pointless scene just to take up space. It's a waste of your time and the reader's time. If the scene doesn't move your characters and story along, you don't need it.

4. Even out the detail and the dialogue. You don't want too much either. Too much detail will bore readers, and too much dialogue won't give you any visuals that you need.

5. Have subplots! They add texture and make your story more interesting. Yes, the major conflict is important, but if there's other conflicts as well, it makes your story more fun to read.

6. Be careful of plot holes--they can be deadly. Plot holes can distract your reader and take away from their enjoyment.

7. Make your characters relatable. Don't make them cardboard cutouts! Give them feelings, flaws, inspirations, intentions--make them human.

I can't really think of anymore at this point o: I'm sorry if that didn't help. I warned you I was bad at advice!

If you want more help, Google is a great tool. I'm not saying that to be sarcastic. When I'm stuck, I like to Google writing advice. (:
