hey ash, can you pls explain to me how the school in america works? like how/what is a time table, the subjects that u're supposed to take and how long each classes are? and when school starts bc from where i am, it's in june :)
well, schools around here each work differently, even if you're in the same state, but here's how mine worked:
SUBJECTS:
- English (4 years)
- Science (4 years; earth science, biology, chemistry, physics)
- Math (4 years; algebra I, geometry, algebra II, pre-calculus, calculus; if you are in advanced math, then you are a year ahead of your fellow classmates--in ninth grade, you're doing tenth grade math, etc.)
- History (3 years; world, modern, u.s., government; you're allowed to skip tenth grade)
- Gym (2 semesters)
- Health (1 semester)
- AP classes start in eleventh grade (optional)
- It is recommended that you do two years of a language (Spanish, French, and Latin are the languages offered)
- With electives, you are required to have at least 1 fine art credit (two semesters worth of any kind of art--if you want the specific art classes or other electives, let me know!)
- In Freshman year, you're required to take quarter long courses (think-read-strategy, writing lab, and LHS technology)
- In Freshman and Sophomore year, you are given a flex period; these are basically study hall, except, unlike study hall, you get some credit for taking it
CLASSES:
- are around 80 minutes long
- are blocked; that means that out of the 8 courses assigned, you are doing four a day and you switch off every other day; at my school we labelled the days White days and Blue days (after our school colors)
- 3rd period is longer than the others because of lunch
GENERAL:
- year starts (usually) on August 28
- year ends sometime in June; it varies, due to snow days
- school starts at 7:45 and ends at 2:00
- midterms are in January, and finals are in June (if you want me to go into specifics about it, i'll try to explain to you how it works)

Yes me too! and it got so big all of a sudden I remember my friend thing me to watch it a few months ago and I was like "no, sounds kinda sketchy" but it really isn't, it's so well made and everything and it's pretty hard for me to get really into something lol :p oh and HAPPY NEW YEARS:)
it was one of those that I was like, "ok looks cool we'll watch and see" and then I actually saw it and I was like, "WHAT WAS LIFE BEFORE THIS WAS ON." xD
