Yes, my dad owns a horse ranch. We all do animal rescues. Cats, dogs, goats, mules, horses, and my dad's favorite - a "pet" steer who was dying, and was nursed to health with Gatorade. His name is Chuck. (waits for you to get the joke). He's now a full grown bull and he charges across the field when he sees my dad coming, he just wants to play. The area I grew up in was pretty rural, and many of my friends lived on farms. It was a great way to grow up. :)
Well, if we're talking parrots, that leads me to the Parrot Head Jimmy Buffet and Margaritaville. So, that's my answer. Margaritas. And yes, GS'd under the influence many a time.
Neither, thanks. I want nothing to do with the site, with witch hunts, with the drama it ensues. To comment on it gives validation to the whole thing and keeps the drama going.
You're so pretty, you make baby unicorns look ugly. <3
You're so sweet you make my teeth ache. xoxoxox <3 <3 <3
"So I guess that means I'm not a new age dingbat after all? Whew. :)" - Well, I didn't say that. Validation from me does not prove you aren't a nut-job. ;)
So....great minds think alike? We'll settle with that, mkay Lovey? Leave it kind of open-ish.
Very well written, young Glinda. I dig your thesis.
So I guess that means I'm not a new age dingbat after all? Whew. :)
Do you think where we go after we die depends on what we do here in this life?
I don't really believe in heaven and hell in the traditional sense. I think when we die, yes, we are held accountable for what we did in this lifetime. That we feel and experience the pain we may have put others through, or the joy we have brought to others. It's like a summing up of our existence. Hopefully, we have much more on the side of "bringing joy" versus "bringing pain". Someone like Hitler will have to experience all the emotions that his actions in life caused to *each* individual his decisions touched. That is the definition of "hell". Because...it's such a domino effect for someone who wields great power to harm or help others. For someone who has lead a life based on trying their very best to get it right every day, who brings joy and happiness to others, in either small or large ways, who uses their life to pay it forward...being grateful for what we have and sharing it with others...those souls will take the time with Spirit after death to rejoice in what they accomplished, experience just how their kindnesses felt to the recipient and how it was paid forward. These things we cannot know in life, and can only see how our soul fit into the world after we die.For those souls who end up with a positive "report card"...they will have the opportunity to be reborn. And each successive lifetime become a higher and purer soul until the soul reaches spiritual perfection, as shown to us by the life of Christ. - based on the beliefs of Edgar Cayce
Is it me, or is GS getting more like Polls & Surveys these days?
Yes, however....being able to post a silly question and not get reported is so wonderful. I'll take that any day over power hungry reportniks. xoxoxox
Have you ever seen or dealt with spirits(sometimes called ghosts)? If so, was it a scary, negative, positive experience? What did you do? If not, is it because you don't believe in them or just haven't come across any?
Yes, a number of times. My grandfather was a big Camel cigarette smoker. After he died, I had this really vivid dream of him, and he was telling me how great he felt now, and in the dream, he looked so much younger. When I woke up, I was frozen for a few minutes. And the smell of his cigarettes was all over my bedroom. It lasted a while too. It was not scary, it was humbling really. I was happy for him. I also have a haunted doorbell. When I do meditation/prayer, I always ask that my home be spiritually protected. Which means, locking out any negative energy. So, fairly often, my doorbell will chime in the middle of the night. It chimes over and over and over, until I get out of bed, go downstairs, open the front door and stand on the porch. Then it stops when I tell it to. I assume it's some sort of lost soul who needs prayers so I stand on my front porch and pray that the spirit be lead to the light. Now I sound all new age-y and weird, don't I. lol
How to cope living in a highly humid flat? I'm going to melt soon, Glinda.
1. Take off all your clothes 2. Get an big bowl of ice water 3. Skype me and I'll walk you through the rest. *wink*
I survived again since I am here for a purpose - part of that purpose was to assist you... I am grateful for the opportunity. I've beaten the Reaper several times - must be a reason for it.... it all seems to be coming together....
Part of the Gemini creed - being the communicator means serving.
Do you think Dark Eyes actually sniffs her husband's socks to get a cheap thrill?
EX- husband. Idk, she certainly has a sock fixation. But as much as she uses the "and I had to pick up his dirty socks for yearssssssss" line, I think she just means it as a metaphor for him not getting off the couch and doing his part around the house. If you sent me one of your socks, I'd sleep with it under my pillow. <3
"the sidewalk crouches at her feet, like a dog that begs for something sweet"- The DoorsHippie songs were so colorful and trippy; no profanities needed to write a great song. Just a touch of acid.
What has been your favorite vacation experience so far? Was it in your own country?
I have two favorites. First was a trip to London and Scotland. It was amazing, the history there. We just don't have things like that in American...castles, the Tower of London, flying falcons, Buckingham Palace, and my favorite...Westminster Abbey. Incredible. Second favorite vacation spot is Nassau Beach in the Bahamas. The water is so clear you can see your feet. I was on a catamaran and went snorkeling...the fish are just so beautiful, the colors so vivid. I love it there. :)
OMG did yours hold up a hand mirror too when you were in the stirrups??? He said "quit that screaming, open your eyes and look at how beautiful women are.". I still can't decide if he was a pervert, but I sort of think he was. It was my first pelvic exam and I didn't know any better. :(
Favorite state is Vermont (so beautiful there in the summer, cool and so green)...and the city of Savannah, GA is my favorite city. I love the architecture there. And I thought Phoenix AZ was pretty awesome too. I couldn't wait to jump out and touch a real live cactus.
