It IS!! Umm - cats and milk - I give the neighbour's cat (Midori) milk on a hot day - someone said cow's milk was not good. Cat milk - special stuff... is it good?

Grapplersama’s Profile PhotoTHE Grappler
Cows milk can upset the tummies of some cats; they can throw it up or get erm....gastric disturbances. lol I've used the cat milk sold with the cat food before for kittens that needed to be bottle fed, and it works fine. I'm sure it would be a nice treat for grown cats as well.
My adult cats both like cheese, and my male cat shares yogurt with me every day. So I think maybe in small doses, dairy products can be tolerated, but not more than a spoonful at a time. :)

Are you able to watch a movie, read a book, and/or listen to a song over and over again if you like (or love) it? Q2: Is 'The Hunger Games' any good? It's on discount at the local cinema tonight. I think I'd like to see what the fuss is all about on the big screen...Wanna come with?

I re-read books a lot, and I always find things I missed the first time around. Not so much with movies.
Q2: "The Hunger Games" book was great, and the movie was good too. Sure, I'll come with you; it's a date. :) <3

A generalist is someone who doesn't really have any specific talents, but just kind of does ok in everything. A specialist is someone who has more defined talents, and works on them instead of expanding.

You mean in life in general, I take it? Well, I suppose a specialist since I have been able to make a business out of a specific hobby....but can't manage the books well and other picky stuff that I'm no good at.

Are you a generalist or a specialist? *Stolen off YA*

I'm not sure what you mean, MizLiz? Good to see you back, btw!

Do you know any average to below average movies that have exceptional soundtracks or scores? My vote goes to TRON: Legacy.

There was an iffy Whitney Houston movie in the 90's called "The Bodyguard" with Kevin Costner. The song in the movie "I Will Always Love You" was a huge hit and has outlived the movie, for sure.
I loved the soundtrack for "Juno" but I also think "Juno" was a great movie, so it's a win/win.

Though I enjoyed "Wolf of Wall Street", anyone else think it was too much of a Goodfellas copycat? (Narration, guy coming from nothing to a powerful role in his interested field, decline in success due to drugs, swearing every 3 seconds, ratting out his cohorts)

ChaoDown’s Profile PhotoMr Chao
I haven't seen it yet, and I really want to. I don't mind if there are similarities between it and Goodfellas, because Goodfellas is one of my favorite movies. "Wolf of Wall Street" is getting great ratings too. I'll let you know after I see it if my opinion is that the similarities are too much. :)

What do you think? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzV6mXIOVl4

Wow, that's really scary, because it could really be like that in the future. We could all have the perfect-for-us e-partner, and shut out the rest of the world. Everyone only interacting with their e-partner, or e-friends. I guess it's scary because it's so realistic. It's so safe, no fear of rejection. Sad, though. And lonely.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UsO7HJxTnY What would you have done if you were the massage therapist here?

I have to think that the massage therapist was in on this prank, because no one would stick around with all that craziness! But, assuming it was legit, I would have walked out within the first 5 minutes. Or ran. lol

What percentage of men do you suppose should legitimately fear gold diggers? I think it probably would be a concern for a socially inept guy who happens to earn well into the six figures, or perhaps an heir to a vast fortune, but not for most others.

JessePinkmanGS’s Profile PhotoGrackles Know Your Real Name
I think it's blown out of proportion on GS. Most of us on GS will never have to worry about being gold-dug in our lifetimes. lol And don't forget, women can be gold-dug too.

How many followers do you have? I have 57 and I'm not sure who they are... Are you following me? If you get this I am following you.

AspiringHousewife’s Profile Photoтeмple
Yes, I'm following you. I follow about 30 people, but I have 80 followers today (it changes sometimes). I can't explain it, other than people who have alt accounts, and their multiple accounts follow too. Or maybe people from GS who follow other GSers in Ask.fm, because they know they are GSers, but don't really know them, or don't interact with them.
It would be interesting to have an unveiling here, to see who follows who, and if there are alt accounts run by the same person, and who sends the anon questions that try and stir up trouble. I'd pay to see all that. lol

I plan to meet a friend at a dive sports bar to watch NFL playoffs Saturday. You have been given the honor of choosing 1 alcoholic beverage that I will consume. What will it be (nothing pink!)?

Gah, am I too late? Drink one Jim Beam and Coke. There, it's all manly, nothing to worry about.

How do you usually wear your hair? What's your hair care routine (oils, leave-ins, etc.)? If you use any, what is your favourite oil? :D

Usually wear it down, unless I'm working out, then I pin back my bangs. No oils, my hair is too fine for them. I use Bed Head products usually.

What would you do if you woke up in the middle of the night and found Edward Cullen staring at you? Would it comfort you to know that he enjoys it very much and finds it fascinating? ;)

Well, that would be very freaky. But since Jacob would be sleeping at the foot of my bed, I could sic him on Edward. :)

You know, there is this weird fella who answers all my questions, literally all of them. Like he goes through my Q's answering. It's annoying, actually and mostly because he gives very boring answers... He is foreign and so some of them are hard to understand. Also ha a crush on me... pregnant me.

AspiringHousewife’s Profile Photoтeмple
I suppose blocking him or ignoring him are the only two answers to this. And, we all have a crush on you.

Should I read "The Falling Man", "Beautiful Boy", "Walden", or "Barack Obama The Audacity Of Hope". What do you guys think of the movie "Beautiful Mind"? EQ: What do you guys think of Russell Crowe, and Jennifer Connelly? EQ: What are some other movies that they are in?

GCTC1’s Profile PhotoATLAS
Out of all that, I only saw the movie "Beautiful Mind", and I loved it. Russell Crowe is a great actor, and the movie was really intense, showing what's it's like to be in the mind of a paranoid-schizophrenic. It was sad, but a really good movie.

What is the meaning behind this song and video? I never really understood it. Thanks. xD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIEVqFB4WUo

ThomasGWS’s Profile PhotoThomas
Okay, I cheated and looked it up. lol Basically, the band is saying the song is not about S&M, which is what people thought when they heard it, but that myth is what made the song successful. So they had to incorporate some of that when they made the video. They had read an article about a western man who did a circus-like trick with his wife at their ranch, where he used a bullwhip to take off her clothes without hurting her. That's how the western/whip theme was conceived. The flowerpots on their heads? No clue. :)

Is there a pundit or politician who represents your specific political positions (more so than just a standard partisan on your side of the aisle)? Mine is Paul Krugman - one of relatively few strong voices for the academic, economic left. http://tinyurl.com/l6lsmpp

GSCAustin’s Profile PhotoCAustin
I can't think of a politician that swings back and forth from liberal to conservative like I do. That's the thing about labeling in politics, even if you identify as a "conservative" or "liberal", there are going to be issues that you don't agree with the party about.

I fared better than you...$165. I wasn't even at home when they fixed it...so no sexist comments of any kind!

Neo_gs’s Profile PhotoScooch
See???? Women get ripped off by repairmen. And I'm not even going to be all politically correct and say "repair-person" because I've never once had a woman repair person come to fix anything.
If it were my garage door, the repairman would have said something snarky like "you banged into the garage door too many times and knocked it off it's tracks". And then charged me double what he charged you. *rolls eyes* Well, that's what he said last time, anyway.

How true or untrue is this? I actually hear men say (some of) this frequently. http://thoughtcatalog.com/cody-delistraty/2013/07/13-things-men-think-about-women-but-never-say/ I didn't have the space to give my opinion on each one.

JessePinkmanGS’s Profile PhotoGrackles Know Your Real Name
A few jump out at me -
1- I don't think men really want to see a woman order dessert. Not only does it add to the cost of dinner, but an after dinner coffee is just as satisfying, and grown up. People go out on a date to get to know one another, not for the food.
2- Agree about giving the guy an opening so he knows he's not going to be rejected flat out. It's easy to do, just a light touch on his arm while talking to him or leaning towards and not away from him is enough. However, I personally could never make the first move by asking a guy out. But, that's just me.
8- Agree that men like a little chase. Things that come easily and cheaply are never as appreciated as something that takes a bit of work and time to get, as long as it is not game-playing and it is attainable.
