What is a humane and effective way to make small children be quiet for long periods of time? I've tried taping their mouths shut, but they don't seem to like it. Any new suggestions?

Slip them some Benedryl, which makes them sleepy. Or Ambien. Whatever.

When is the last time you encountered a wild animal in its natural habitat? What was it doing, and what did you do? =^-^=

We get deer in my neighborhood. Sometimes they will come right up to a window and look in. I love watching the mothers and their babies the best. So sweet.

I love Fall scented candles, like Pumpkin Spice and Apple Cinnamon.
For scented soaps, I love lavender. :)

One of my favorite things is free local concerts. There's this place near me that has a bandstand, and people just bring a blanket to sit on. I've seen steel drum bands, choirs, symphonies, 50's night, 80's night, and other free musical entertainment. It's free and it's fun.

It depends on the type of yarn. Right now I'm working with a fine velvet yarn, and it's very soft and smooth. I do have to use hand lotion first, and wait for it to soak in, before starting. Yeah, otherwise it feels gross and dries out the cuticles. <3

What would your ideal job be, if skill/experience was irrelevant and you could do anything (like Olympic athlete/United States President etc.)?

If I had the talent, I would love to write books. It would suit me because I'm basically a moody hermit, so my lifestyle wouldn't change much. I'd just get a bigger house to fit more cats in. :)

So what is your definition of a true soul mate? Is it someone who resonates with your thought processes, inclinations of being, compatibility requirements and so on? Do you think a soul mate is an individual who chose to be with you pre-inception?

Yes, I do think souls are predestined to meet even before birth, especially for romantic love. Those relationships teach us the most because the feelings are so intense. The other person can teach us things like patience, empathy, compassion, faith, etc. Those that believe in Karma talk about the law of attraction. That our souls travel in soul-groups, so that each lifetime we are together again, to keep allowing for the opportunity to get it right with one another. That's the initial spark we feel when we say "ah, here's someone special". <3

Hokay.. I agree with you on romance soul mates thing..though I differentiate between those two anyway - soul mates is not necessarily romance. Someone asked me and I said you were sort of a daughter to me .. a sort of 'I dunno' thing... just is what it is. Any thoughts?

Right, some relationships or friendships are undefined. They can feel like family, yes. They aren't romantic love, but they surely are more than acquaintances or passing friendships. The souls call out to one another in a way that is very special. You just know it was meant to be that you meet one another...and then you figure out what the purpose of the soul-touch is. Sometimes it's fleeting, sometimes it's knowing that person for years. Until whatever lesson to be learned, is learned.
