Well, I could actually relate this to your Q of free will from 3 days ago. Perhaps our "free will" is partially active. The endgame is still the same, but the choices I make along the way are not. Let's say it is fate that a person will die at my hands. Does it happen due to me drinking too much and I run a person down crossing the street? Or does it happen to be I didn't drink and that same person tried to rob me at knife point on the same street but I defended myself using my handgun?

I'm in no way supporting or condoning the use of tobacco, but why is it big alcoholic beverage companies are allowed to advertise on television and on billboards, but tobacco companies are not? How is this fair or even acceptable? Please explain. Thanks!
I've read some responses that tobacco is more harmful than alcohol. But what about free enterprise (if there is such a thing). If tobacco is a legal substance that a company can make and sell, there is no reason they cannot have access to the same advertising options as alcohol. It all comes down to the nanny laws our gov't uses to try to "protect" us.

Do you believe in 'free will'? Is it more 'spiritual' or is it biological? Are free will exists like consciousness exists, in that they are both biologic engines created to run independently of the core of their chemical makeup through the evolutionary advantage of such an engine?
I've actually posed such a counter thought to "free will" as taught by Christian doctrine. Most Christians would say God gives us free will. They will also acknowledge that God is all knowing. God is the past, the present and the future.
So, if God knows exactly how any person's life is going to unfold, how can there be free will? Isn't the individual already on a known path?

It looks a lot like the regular yahoo front page. It is less visually appealing and has lost some features. I can't send messages to my contacts unless I am using my mobile phone or switch to another country.

I don't understand why there has to be "any value" placed upon it. That being said, there are considerably more male virgins than their are female virgins. Heck, 1/3 of the guys posting on GS are virgins. It is pretty obvious by their writing that they have never gained certain "carnal knowledge" of a woman.

I drive on them each winter. I've pretty much lived my life in states where this is a winter. Have not slid off the road (but came close a few times). I've honed winter driving skills pretty well.
