How have you start building your credit? If you haven't started, when will you start? I'm just curious because my family sorta taught me fairly traditional/old school values and ways, of paying in cash. But, now I've come to realize that this world sort of depends on that credit score! :O

I started back in college. One can easily build/maintain a good credit rating while still living on a (mostly) cash basis.
Unless it has changed, credit card companies report to the bureaus if one’s account is current with payments made on time (Y or N). So, zero balance and zero payment is still an account in good standing with “payment” on time.

How do/would you handle this situation? You’re single & meet an amazing (also single) person. S/he’s got everything you’re looking for, w 1 big con (for you. It’s not necessarily a con for everyone). Do you pursue anyway? Discuss with them and mutually agree on a decision? Something else?

This depends on whether this con is a dealbreaker or just an undesirable behavior. If she leaves her socks on the floor, am I willing to accept that? Even if she agrees to try and do better but doesn’t, will I leave? Behavioral patterns are not easy to change. Some can over time, some not at all. I’d likely have to decide internally if I can live with this.
There could be a plus in some other aspect that well outweighs the big negative. Maybe she makes over $100k per year (£78,363). We could hire someone to pick up her socks.

What if you're home alone, at late night and you sneeze. Suddenly phone rings and when you answer, Someone whispers "Bless You" and hangs up?? What'll u do then?? ??

It would seem @GlindaBells bought a laser listening device and has it pointed at my window. I suppose I should go out to her SUV with the dark windows and offer her coffee.

It's International Cat Day, time to ask the fundamental question: Are cats smarter than dogs?

Cats make us serve them. Dogs serve us.

"Anger as school makes boys and girls run together", DE headline. Why, in your view, do you think parents are angered by this? Do you sympathise with the parents or do you agree with the school? https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/968308/merkinch-primary-school-sports-race-gender-equality-LGBTQI

When I was a kid, nobody got in an uproar over foot races with boys and girls. At a young age, girls develop faster and will be quicker than the boys.
Maybe we abolish all competition based on physical ability, shave every kid’s head, and make them wear dark gray jumpsuits to hide their forms.
Men and women are not the same. There is nothing wrong with showing kids at a young age about this fact.

Have you ever interacted with someone who was deaf? How was that experience? Did you know sign language & could you interact back? :) I recently had a customer who was deaf & found it really cool how we interacted. I think a lot people give them a hard time. I think sign lang. us an awesome feature!

I’ve only come across a few indirectly.

What is your least popular, but deeply held opinion?

GlindaBells’s Profile PhotoWear A Kilt
Much of what I say is “unpopular” especially when it is actually true or follows real, social trends.
Cash. I say cash is best for regular spending in situations where one can pay cash (at a retail store, restaurant, coffee, etc). Extensive studies have shown people spend more using credit cards. When I tell people this, they have a look of disgust about having to carry cash. Of course, we now have the added problem of companies being hacked losing customer data. Is it really worth having your identity stolen because you won’t pay $6 cash for your sub sandwich? Or $1.20 cash for coffee at the convenience store?

How do you handle being alone?

You ask as though being alone is something bad. A better Q is “How do you entertain yourself being alone?”
I enjoy watching tv, movies. Internet socializing is fun. Napping is awesome. I go out to eat and sometimes talk to random people. Other than my employer (who pays me), I answer to NOBODY. I do what I want, where I want, when I want. Nobody needs to be consulted on decisions. My money is spent on whatever I want.
I can leave my socks on the floor. If I don’t want to empty the dishwasher tonight, I don’t.
