Was your bf accepted by your parents right away?

I think my bf met my mum about 8 months after we started dating. My mum is actually really chill, as long as I'm happy and he has good manners just as simple as saying hi and bye when he sees her is all she ask haha

i remember you saying your parents were strict and you rebelled? how did you do that and what were they reaction, like how did they eventually let go, i'm 20 and mine are still very strict with freedom no matter how much i try :/

Firstly you must be kind of financially independent. I started working since 15 and bought everything I have right now with my own money so my parents actually have no say in my life anyway. The only thing is that my mum won't let me move out so I just stay home but I do help her with the bills and shit. Just do whatever you think is right and good for you, I can never get along with my mum so we always fight and I talk back heaps. And for sure you can't talk back and listen to them only because you're depending on them. If it's only out of respect, there's a limit. It's your life you're the one should be responsible for our own shit, the fuck they gonna do if things don't go their way? Kick you out ? LOL children will always win, trust me. They need to realise you're growing up; actually, you're already an adult, they can't protect you forever.
