The primer and setting powder also has to do with the whole look not just the foundation. If I use a mattifying primer and a full coverage powder and blend it into the skin really well it'll give a semi-matte finish
And through out the day it will give a natural finish from the natural oil produce hence why I wrote (natural finish) for sheer glow

I have used most of the foundations myself except for the ones I know is 100% just for oily skin cause that shit won't work my skin is so dry
I also take note when I'm working on how a foundation look/what kind of finish it gives when I try it on for a customer. I do a lot of finding the right foundation/colour matching at mac
And l also ask for feed back on what they like and don't like about the foundations they've used

Dry skin - MUFE HD foundation or Mac studio sculpt
I also like EL double wear for day time events, literally the best can't beat that haha
