Have your parents noticed that you look like jesus? Do many people comment on it?

Yes, my folks do tease me a bit about that and occasionally people mention that. Were I more like Jesus on the inside!

How do you keep yourself busy on a rainy day?

Social media and prayers and internet games and movies and playing Scrabble with my mom can see me through many a rainy day. I will also try to get Mass and the rosary no matter the weather.

Want to make more friends? Try this: Tell us what you like and find people with the same interests. Try this: + add more interests + add your interests

You are cool and a good representative for God. I like you and I like your answers.

You are very kind. Please keep me in your prayers and please ask me questions about stuff which does not make sense to you. Then we can all grow in our knowledge of truth which means getting to know God better and that means we will love him, and as a consequence our neighbor, more.

Would a loving god send people to hell? I can't believe that to be true.

It certainly is difficult to think that a loving God which is what God is would send people to hell.
A way to think of the question which perhaps can help us to understand is that one can say that the soul of the damned will shy away from God itself. The sinful soul will not want to be in the presence of God. Looked at this way we can say that the damned soul chooses hell.
Another thought which might be helpful is to keep both the enormous consequences of hell and the goodness of God in our minds at the same time. If we can do this we will start to realize that sin is truly a very terrible thing and not the small thing that we like to make it out.
A consideration which might help to understand the seriousness of sin is this. An offense depends on the honor of the person offended. God is infinite good and so our offense against God is infinite.
That seems a bit abstract but its consequence is very real. The only way for this offense to be repaired was that God himself became man, was born (Christmas!), suffered and died for us on the cross. A particularly painful and humiliating death.
Thinking of these things again makes me think of the great chance that God has given us to do real good in the world and with this of course comes the possibility of doing real evil.
I hope this is helpful.
May God bless you!

Do you have any new years resolutions?

I have only thought of one and that is to do more penance in the period before Christmas, during Advent.

Do you find it hard to get motivated to do things?

Yes, very often. Some of the suspicions that I have I find can demotivate me very much. :/

do you like to colour in pictures and draw? PAP of your pencils? I love stationary hehe

I do enjoy drawing and coloring in pictures to some extent. The "new" "adult" coloring books look really fun.
Sorry that this is so hasty. Taking pictures is still a bit of a hassle for me.

Do you get any social security benefits as you are not working?

No I do not qualify for any social security benefits in South Africa. There is a very poor social security net for people here. There is a disability grant and state pensions and in theory government housing. People on these benefits have to live extremely simply.

Were your family upset that they didnt get a gift from you?

No, they were very understanding. There was a little niggle from a relation but that is the least that one might expect and the person was more than generous to me.

Why didnt you give any christmas gifts?

I have used as an excuse my not working but one can still make Christmas gifts and my parents would have gladly given me some money to buy gifts and I did not do that.
Of course Christmas is more than gifts and yet gifts are a way for us to show our gratitude for the incredible gift of life which Christ has given us. Of course I don't like the way Christ can be forgotten in Christmas.
It might be a reaction in that I don't have the money to give substantial gifts and so I am not giving any gifts at all. That I feel that I am unsuccessful and that this time of Christmas plays that up emphasizes that.
Perhaps the real problem is a selfishness which rejects the difficult task of hidden labor and effort which is a real show of love with an effort to just be there for others.

Do you still use porn?

Unfortunately there are still occasions when I have watched pornography. God willing there will be no more! When I get control of myself again I put aside the pornography, ask God for forgiveness and go to Confession. This and prayer and daily Mass are the means that I am using to counter this ill in my life.
I have not stopped my internet use which is the main occasion of sin. At times I have tried to do this or to use internet filters and this has worked to some extent but it did not prevent me falling completely. I then started to try and am still trying to live alongside this menace. I have also tried to take small steps to fight against pornography.
I am pleased to see that my Facebook feed gives me less occasions of sin and there are fewer profile pictures of women looking alluring. It would be cool if one could ban all dating site advertising. With my weakness for pornography it really is horrible what a sleazy place the internet can be. That said I suppose it is like visiting a part of town - you simply don't visit the bad areas.
Yet I find I do visit the bad areas and perhaps those bad areas are really all around us and not to be invaded by sin we need a strong ship and not hope for a quiet sea.
In my reasoning for not simply fleeing this evil more there could error. On a site like this one courts impurity to some extent. I tell myself I do this with the hope of helping others to be pure. I hope it is worth the risk.
I do hope that you will join me in the fight against pornography and keep me in your prayers.
God bless!

@gramster2014 said jesus wasn't born in december. Do you know if this is true?

I am going to try to answer briefly and just from what I know. My knowledge on this matter is not good.
Firstly, does it really matter if he was not born in December?
The feast of Christmas coincides with an important existing pagan feast. An important symbolism of this feast was the light overcoming the darkness as from this day the days (in the northern hemisphere) grow longer. I don't think it is a problem if the Church chose to celebrate Christmas on this day thus tying into the idea of the light coming into the world with the celebration of the birth of the true light of the world, Jesus Christ.
Is it possible that Christ's birth really did coincide with this existing pagan feast. I mean it is possible right? Why not. Scholars often point out how the development in the pagan religions almost prepared the way for the coming of Christ. Plato had developed Greek philosophy to a point where is showed there was one God. God had prepared the world for the coming of his Son.
I think some people would reject the idea that Christ might have been born on the day of this pagan feast simply because it seems too convenient, too planned, too unlikely. We cannot reject it for those reasons, we are dealing here with a truly miraculous event. God has become man. Anything is possible to God.
What arguments are there against 25 December being the date of Christ's birth?
The only argument that I have heard to prove that Christmas was not in December is that the shepherds were out in the fields tending their sheep as the Bible tells us. The weather at this time of year would have been too cold for them to do that and so it is argued that it could not have been December when Christ was born. I have heard a simple counter argument and that is that there was a shortage of accommodation and so stables and barns were being pushed into use for visitors who had come for the census and so the sheep could not be housed there and were out in the fields.
That is about what I know. I hope it is factual. Please point out any errors. I hope this is helpful. God bless you!
On all matters religious could I point you to two good sites http://www.ewtn.com/ and http://www.catholic.com/
On catholic.com search: "Date of Christmas" http://www.catholic.com/search/content/date%20of%20christmas
And a really short answer to the question which is one of the articles in the link above:

Again God bless and thanks for the question.

Does God not forgive everyone no matter what they do?

As long as we repent and seek God's forgiveness he will forgive us.
There is a difficulty though with the the level of repentance which we need. For God to forgive us our serious sins when we confess them directly to him we need to have perfect contrition. Perfect contrition is when we are sorry for our sins only because they offend God and not because of any consequences to us - like going to hell for example. Perfect contrition is not so easy to have. There is a way for our sins to be forgiven even if we only have imperfect contrition and that is by confession to a Catholic priest (Russian and Greek Orthodox too.) The priest has been given the power to forgive sins by Jesus in order to continue the work on earth which Jesus started here.
Many people may not have easy access to a Catholic priest and so they must rely on confessing their sins directly to God. God is aware of our circumstances and so long as we are seeking him he will help us and provide us what we need to get to heaven. So confess your sins immediately to God summoning the greatest degree of contrition that one can. And after that seek the help of a Catholic priest. The priest is only necessary for those sins which are serious called mortal - which drive the life of God out of our souls.
I hope this of help.
Lots of prayers and please ask any further questions or contact me directly on Twitter say?
God bless!

Why do you or don't you believe in a God?

I do believe in God. I believe it is only reasonable to believe in the existence of God. We see a world around us which is continually changing and where nothing is eternal. Something which is changing cannot be the cause of everything yet everything exists. This means that there must be a prime mover who himself is not moved who has set everything in motion. Please feel free to criticize this reasoning.
